Many thanks to Dr. Mason and the entire staff. This is a well run practice!!!! While it was always busy, I felt that Dr. Mason and staff took the time to see to my needs, explain everything and made sure my healing was on track. I was treated very well by all and had a great outcome. Again, Many Thanks

I went in to have a cyst removed from my shoulder. The nurse came in and went through the after care and said my husband couldn’t stay with me while they removed the cyst. This caused me to become basically hysterical. When they returned to do the procedure they asked what was wrong and still said he had to leave. They had no concern about me and my mental state due to the fact that I have MS. Basically I was told either I had the procedure without him present or I could leave. They were very dismissive of my needs. I cried through the entire procedure and couldn’t get out of there fast enough. The poor girl at the check out saw how distraught I was and showed some concern, but I was in such a state and it was too late. They were in violation of my ADA rights, I am legally allowed to have a caregiver with me, just like I would be able to have a service animal with me. I felt as if my needs were of no importance and I will never return to this office. I have filed a report with the Civil Rights division of the DOJ.

If you need mental support at a Dr office, DO NOT COME HERE. Your partner can't stay with you during any procedure and was told. What surgical procedure are partners ever allowed to attend? a C-Section for one. I was hysterically crying when I was told my husband couldn't stay with me. I could leave if this was an issue. NO EMPATHY at all. I cried through the whole procedure, and no concern for my mental state was expressed. What are you so afraid of, she kept saying. I needed my support system with me, and that was not possible, according to them. I wonder if children are also left alone during procedures. At the check out I was still crying hysterically and one of the ladies went to get my husband. At least the reception staff seem to have some concern for their patients. I couldn't get out of there fast enough, and will never go back. If this wound gets infected I will not contact them as I know my husband will not be allowed in with me. I also wonder if I has a support animal if it would have been allowed in. Drs need to care for their patients and be flexible when certain circumstances occur. I have MS so I see lots of Drs and have NEVER been treated like this.

Worst experience at a Dr office ever. I had a procedure done and my husband was not allowed to stay with me. This caused me to become hysterical, to which they said well, you don't have to have the procedure. Yes I did, I don't want a cyst on my shoulder. They had no empathy for me and the mental state I was now in. They made him leave and I cried through the whole procedure and became more hysterical as I walked to check out. At least the reception staff seemed concerned. If you need any extra support while at a Drs like I do, DO NOT GO HERE, they don't care at all.

If you are having any procedure done, you will not be allowed to have a partner with you. They will tell you you can leave if that is an issue. When they said my husband couldn't stay with me I went hysterical, and cried through the whole procedure. What are you so afraid of she kept saying. Being alone with you all for one thing. Still hysterically crying at the check out finally someone who showed some concern. The girl went and got my husband who let me get out of that office, while he checked me out. I will never return there. They have no concern for the patients needs or mental state. I have MS so I have been through many procedures and to many Drs and have NEVER been treated this way.

I usually try to look at reviews before I go to a new business, doctor, etc. just to see what the general public thinks about that particular place. The reviews on this office are pretty spot on. I am new to the area, and was referred to this office by my physician for a specific area of concern, but I also, when I made the appt, let them know I was looking for a permanent dermatologist. Lindsay, the person I spoke to and scheduled with, was lovely and I appreciate her help. Once I got to the office, it was a different story altogether. The nurses/techs seemed to be bothered by working with me, and were not friendly at all. The male doctor who treated me (you do not see Dr. Mason unless you need a procedure/surgery done) did what he called a "skin check". It was not. I am a multi-basal cell carcinoma sufferer, and when you check my skin, it should be an actual check where you touch my skin and make sure there aren't rough spots or places of concern. On a scale of 1 to 5 in thoroughness, it was a 1. I am researching other dermatologists now, but the options are few here. Very disappointed.

My daughter was referred to this dermatologist after multiple attempts to get rid of skin fungus. She told him that she had tried everything and only one pill that a previous dermatologist had prescribed worked. He asked her had she tried Selsun Blue in which she told him yes and it did not work. He told her he was going to prescribe a lotion and if it didn't work he would look and see what pill the last dermatologist prescribed. Lo and behold, my daughter goes to get her prescription and it's Selsun Blue. Now why would someone take time and pay the expensive cost to see a dermatologist just for them to prescribe to you what you told them did not work?! So I call the office to let them know I would not be paying for this wasted visit. The doctor proceeds to tell the nurse I spoke with that my daughter didn't tell him she had tried Selsun blue. He said she didn't know what she had tried. Correct she didn't know the pills which he said he could look up. She didn't know he meant he was ordering the same OTC medication that has never worked. So he's calling my daughter a liar when he says she didn't tell him Selsun blue didn't work. My daughter said he had a female student in the room with him to witness the conversation. Needless to say this trip was a waste of time and my daughter will be going back to the previous dermatologist.

Dr. Chris has a nice personality and "bedside manner."
