List of David Chadbourne's Reviews
Very friendly and nice seems very knowledgeable
Always attentive and wants what's best for the patient.
Very good
a useless urologist. Caused me problems after a misdiagnosis that can never be resolved due to his inappropriate procedure. Glad he moved and left the area, now he tortures people in Colorado.
I was referred to Dr. Chadbourne by my VA doctor after a PSA test was 7.4 and a follow up PSA was 10.49. I am a healthy 56 year old. I can easily run 5 miles. I enjoy martial arts kayaking and biking. He done an exam on me and told me he suspected I might have cancer. We scheduled a biopsy. It came back with G7 6(3+4) and 6(4+3). He gave me two books to read and made another appointment for a bone scan and a follow up to discuss options. I read his books and bought two more. I joined a support group and learned from others experiences. I was well educated when I went back in to discuss our options. Dr. Chadbourne reviewed my tests and made sure I understood what I was looking at. Then he briefly explained the different options without bias, which I did not expect. I told him I felt like I was on the brink of not having an option and waiting longer to do a surgery wasn't for me. I explained that hormone therapy was not something I wanted to do at all if I could avoid it. Then he said, well lets make you a referral to OHSU and get you scheduled. He was polite, professional and listened to what I had to say. He answered my questions and supported my decision 100%. Even though it was a surgery that he was not going to be performing. Even though it was a hospital he did not work for. I would recommend him without a second thought. His office staff were just as impressive.
This "doctor" was asked to leave a practice in MA, started his own, and moved to Oregon because his reputation was so bad in the area. Incompetent, does not care for his patients, and really a horrible urologist. I know MANY people in our area who had problems with misdiagnosis. Why he is still allowed to practice is beyond me.
Not a lot of choice here. He doesn't ask or care to know your concerns and because of that my kidney is not working. If you are lucky enough to get to ask a question he belittles you. It's over the hill for me
He won't speak with you directly he has is rude MA Irma speak for him. Everyone else in this office is friendly. Not a good experience at all.
Went to Dr, Chadbourne when he practiced in MA in 2001. Told me I had bladder cancer after a quick scope, did procedure in hospital after that to find out I had cyctitous. This started problems that continue today. I have no idea what he did but it altered my life and started bladder problems for now, 17 years. His partners kicked him out of the practice and he practiced solo till moving to OR. Do your research, be careful.
No checking for stones Not very thorough......

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
