In the Fall of 2015, Dr Hammond, then with MUSC in Charleston, SC, performed surgery on my husband. He had contracted an infection with sepsis and we didn’t know his prognosis. Dr. Hammond preformed successful surgery and supervised subsequent care which restored him. She is an EXCELLENT surgeon and Bedford is fortunate to have her. She was my doctor in Charleston SC and she in my opinion is the best. she often was short in her visit to my room but her talent in the OR was at its best. I am actively searching for her to become her patient again even if I have to drive 6 hours for an office visit.

I love Dr Hammond she is the best surgeon ever. She is trustworthy and just amazing. I'm truly going to miss her. She shows great compassion for her patients. She saved my life by giving me a lieostostmy in 2012 then in December it was suppose to be reversed. When she got in there it wasn't time she had great compassion when she told my parents and me. Then in May 2013 it was reversed. I have seen her three years now still bag free.
