He's retired according to the person who answered phone. "Our office is not accepting new patients right now, " is what she said when asked about other Drs at this practice. It gets me that Drs dislike their time being wasted, but the regular guys' time not THAT important.

Dr. S. was my father’s pulmonologist for the final ~18 months of his life before dying from silicosis. My father asked me to accompany him for what would be his last appointment. I was floored to witness how he spoke to my father. The doctor never looked him in the eye while conducting the physical exam or speaking to him. The doctor turned his back to my father while he typed his notes into a computer and asked my father did he have any questions. My father asked what the doctor saw and when would be his next appointment (typically every two months). The doctor’s answer was “much the same” and “there is no need to schedule an appointment because you will be dead before then”. All with his back turned and then we were left alone for his nurse to escort us out and pay. I helped my father to the car and drove him home with both of us not uttering a word. My father never complained. Til he drew his last breath, he showed gave respect to others. My father deserved the same.

Dr Sonito is an excellent physician with a great bed side manner! He has been a life saver for me with my copd and asthma. He listens and reacts to what he hears you saying!

I saw Dr Sanito while I was in the hospital for asthma he has a wonderful bedside manner and take his time to explain what needs to happen to get better. I was driving over an hour to see another doctor in Columbia SC.

What a great doctor. Went to my first appointment and he immediately knew what was wrong with me. He is very kind and listened to me. I will be going back. Both of the doctors in that office are great. My primary physician is in Augusta and all my other doctors are in Augusta.

dr. Sanito got to the bottom of my respiratory issues which landed me in the ICU. He was perceptive, on his game, and honestly, I don't think I'd be here if not for the healthcare provided at Aiken Regional Hospital. I had an underlying infection as well as an unknown allergy to aspirin and ibuprofen; which brought on respiratory failure.
