I had surgery on Nov 19th. I really appreciated Nurse Laura and the surgical nurse. Dr. Holford is always informative and calm which helps me be calm. The discharge nurse was awesome as well. The recovery team not so much. They all went to attend the patient of a nurse that stepped out instead of tending to their own patients. All the while really bashing the nurse that stepped out. That was not very professional at all.

Had an outpatient procedure on Friday November 19th. All involved staff took great care of me. I appreciate the care and professionalism. I was a little nervous but they put me at ease and got me in and out in a timely manner. Thank you!

The hospital is great, the billing department is a joke. They over charge, do not file with insurance companies and are rude.

I want to thank the surgical team that assisted with my surgery today. Nurse Laura and Nurse Claire took good care of me. They went above and beyond with the care they gave me. I had never been treated so loving in a hospital setting until today. Thank you all again and God bless each one of you!

This has to be one of the worst hospitals I have ever received treatment from. From the first day when I went to ER on Sunday and received such inadequate treatment that I actually had to be admitted to the hospital the next day. So far I’ve been here for 3 days. I really have nothing but the highest regard for the three doctors who have found multiple reasons for my continued stay. Some of my nurses should not be allowed to treat the lowest of the lowest rodents!!!! They are supposed to come in every hour from 6:00 AM to 10 PM to check on their patients. It took me until day 2 to realize they lie on the charts they sign. I’ve wised up and started taking pictures at various times during the day in case upper management cares enough to work on the problems in this hospital. Yesterday, my IV leaked for over an hour, soaking the one towel, the sheet, and my pajamas. The call button was constantly pressed to no avail. My husband went to the front desk to talk to the nurse, but it wasn’t until the IV actually ran out and the machine beeped for another 10 minutes before a nurse came to see what was going on. She couldn’t insert an IV so I had to wait for another nurse to come and try to insert the IV. Took 2 tries. This sorry IV lasted for less than 12 hours. Again I had to be poked and prodded to get another IV inserted. My IV bag was so depleted this afternoon that when the nurse went to change it out, I came off the bed in pain. The nurse’s comment was, “Wow, it must have been empty for some time.” Not really confident in her IQ!!! She’s a traveling nurse if that matters. Later in the PM, when the Tech checked my blood pressure, it was 169/104. I told her I had not been given my blood pressure meds. Three hours later the nurse finally came in and said she was waiting on the Pharmacy to send the meds. What a breakdown at this center!!! If you have a choice between another hospital and Aiken, for your sake choose another hospital!!
