Very professional.

I wholeheartedly give praise to all of the folks I encountered at my recent visit with Dr. Frei. As always, everyone showed concern, answered all of my questions and were not rushed through my visit.

My first visit with Dr. Frei was very comforting. When you don’t know if they will find cancer is the worse. But to go to a doctor office where the entire staff makes you comfortable and feel like they truly care about you is the best. Even after the surgery, I felt their care and concern. The follow up visit was the same. My let down was my six months follow up visit. I was told that I would have a mammogram and Dr. Frei would review it to make sure everything was going fine. This was not the case. I was treated as if this was the follow up after the surgery. I don’t know what went wrong but I didn’t get the visit from the doctor office that I expected. I walked away disappointed.

I am over 50 years old with 30+ years of experience with military doctors and the VA. Dr. Frei may be a good surgeon but, after he checked his box with seeing me he was done. I was courteous and respectful. I asked one question after his diagnosis since I was still in pain and that was basically the extent of our interaction aside from answering his questions and his assessment. Once I saw that he was ready to move on to his next patient without addressing my issue I left it at that. Bad patient care won't improve by being confrontational and, why pursue bad care? I value my health more than I want to prove a point. With that being said, patient care at this office is the worst of any place I experience in my life. I had better patient care in two third world countries and in the US. I have been waiting for over a week for a simple referral to be placed for physical therapy and have received no support. After leaving two messages multiple days and not getting a call-back, I finally gave up and called my primary care provider to go a different route and see a different doctor. If don't mind waiting roughly two months to get seen and you don't care if you get people follow up on medical referrals while you're in pain, then this may be a great option for you. Wonderful experience - very knowledgeable and caring

I had a very positive experience with Aiken Surgical Associates and Dr.FREI.I would definitely recommend them to anyone that is searching for a surgeon. Dr Frei takes his time to find out the problem you may have. I felt very comfortable and felt I was in good hands. His staff is very polite and I only waited for maybe 10 minutes to be seen. Out of a rating of 100, I would give Dr. FREI and his staff 100. From the front desk to the exit desk you feel as though everyone cares about you. Dr. Frei is a jewel and I don't think you can find better anywhere. His nurse, Alice is an angel, who makes you feel as though she is there to minister just to your needs. My spouse and I have both received excellent care from Aiken Surgical Associates on multiple occasions for 20 years. I highly recommend them!

Everything from initial consult to post op was pleasant. Never felt rushed and my appointments were discussions not him spewing info and me feeling confused. His office staff is amazing too. I hope I never need a surgeon again but if I do, this is definitely the one I would trust.

My family has had multiple interactions with Dr. Frei and his staff and we have never been disappointed in anyway. Dr. Frei is first class and knows his business and treats his patients with the utmost respect and care. His entire staff is amazing and likewise treat you with respect and care. Highly recommend this team.
