Great doctors, horrible office procedures. The office is poorly run. Can't get call backs. No one ever answers their phone. I have left messages and occasionally they will call back.
Horrible. The office is horrible in getting back to you, doesn't do call backs even for refills for people who experience bad withdrawal symptoms. Psychiatrist will basically give you any med you ask for without doing a thorough evaluation.
Telehealth appointments… I have made TWO telehealth appointments in which I never received a phone call for either. I’ve been out of one of my medications for almost three weeks now and it’s apparently impossible to receive a call for a scheduled telehealth appointment.
Dr Martin was very compassionate when I lost my mom. Tracy Campbell has been very thorough with my prescribed medicines, and my therapist Kelsey does a great job of normalizing my stressors. I would highly recommend them.
I’ve never in my life had the experience of a doctor going to sleep on me. This actually happened while visiting Dr. Ernest Martin!
Never got to see him... saw some Nurse practioner a few times who admitted she has not done primary care for a while. No notes from one of visits in her computor. Returns calls super late when scheduled. Not impressed at all. She then sets me up with Dr Martin cause she claims he could answer my questions better. I go to the appt and its his wife a Pathologist ! Claims he was delayed at hosp. She is not licensed in mental health and did a through eval.. medical advice on meds etc. She could not refill my script again a Pathologist. I got charge 25.00 for someone else to call it in. I also paid a co pay of 50.00 they never credited to my acct. I am being billed by his office for his wife not licensed for mental health. Her visit and my insurance company thought I was seeing Dr Martin who I have never seen. Unethical practice to say the least and I would never return. aweful experience
Dr. Ernest Martin is hands down the BEST psychiatrist you will find in Anderson, SC. I live out of state and came to Anderson because my brother was in a serious mental health spiral. I live out of state, but I knew there was something special about Dr. Martin. The staff was outstanding from beginning to end. They were extremely professional, responsive and friendly. I have the highest regard for Dr. Martin. Not only is he an absolutely brilliant clinician, he listens and is incredibly empathetic and kind. He has a profound understanding of mental illness. After years of trying to help my brother with a variety of pharmaceutical, in patient and outpatient therapy, my family was hopeless. He was unresponsive to medication. As it turns out, my brother had been misdiagnosed for more than a decade. Dr. Martin changed everything; my brothers life and our family's life has been transformed. After meeting Dr. Martin I knew he was doing something special. My brother has made significant progress under Dr. Martin's care and is now on his way to living a happy and healthy life. My advice (to anyone struggling with depression, bipolar, anxiety, addiction, psychosis, cPTSD) is to meet with Dr. Martin and ask him, as I did; a million questions. What you'll likely be met with is: answers, understanding, professionalism, care, a specific care plan. From firsthand experience, I know now that real healing can only take place when a person feels safe and the sympathetic response and that's what you will find at Dr. Martins office.
If I could give them negative stars I would. They are refusing medication to a bipolar person because he is out of state looking for a job... Its nothing to call in medication to a pharmacy here but they are refusing my brother medicine.. when i called to voice my concern the office manager was very rude.. you could hear the distain in her voice. Its not smart to take a bipolar person off their medication cold turkey especially lithium. Im not a doctor and I know that.. They obviously dont care about their patients. Hippocratic Oath??? all they had to do was give him two weeks of medicine and hed be out of their lives. I hope the practice closes

After constantly listening to my son complain of the incompetence of the staff at this office, I finally saw it firsthand. My son is staying with me in Colorado in search of work. He had a teleconference with a nurse practitioner. She promised to call in his prescriptions to a drug store here. The next afternoon we checked with the store and no prescriptions had been called in. Two days later my son called and spoke to a receptionist who promised to get some one to call in his prescriptions. No action. By day 10 my son spoke to a nurse who told him she didn't see any record of prescriptions. When my son stressed that nurse practitioner had written them she told him if he had a problem with what she had said, he could call the office manager. My son called back and got the manager's voicemail. It said she would respond within 48 to 72 hours. No response was received. My Daughter-in-Law called the office after 16 days of inaction by the office staff and medical professionals. She was told that the practice will no longer treat my son because he is out-of-state. My son is here temporarily with a possibility of relocation. It was premature to deem him out-of-state. He is out of medication and this practice doesn't care. I've never witnessed such incompetence and rude behavior from top to bottom at a medical practice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
