List of Matthew Brown's Reviews
Excellent! I had been trying to find out what my problem was for about 7 months-had gone to 4 doctors and a chiropractor with no relief. I called Dr Brown and after examination sent me to get an MRI right away. He called me at home and said he needed to see me. After going to see him the next day and explaining what was wrong, he had a CT done so he could determine the best approach. It turned out the surgery needed to be done very quickly. After I had no pain for the first time in 8 months! I was using my arm and hand without problems. I am very thankful for him, his knowledge, expertise and caring personality.
My parents just left the office. My mother has been in excruciating pain for 10 days and was referred to Dr Brown by her primary care physician. Dr Brown was very condescending and even questioned as to why she was there. Stated that she didn’t need surgery. My Mom is 83 and is of the kindest people there is. Our family has been anxiously awaiting the appointment for answers to her pain. Instead, she left with no answers and very emotional. She stated that she has never been treated like this by a Physician. My father was in the room with her and verified the conversation. I was hesitant about her going to an AnMed neurosurgeon but my Mom didn’t want to go out of town and Dr Brown’s reviews were good. I feel so guilty that I did not force her to go see a neurosurgeon in another town. Dr. Mina is the best in the Upstate and definitely worth the drive to GreerTHINK TWICE BEFORE GOING TO THIS PHYSICIAN
Dr. Brown did a C1-C2 Laminectomy on 2/24/23 for me. I was a little nervous because I could not find many reviews on Dr. Brown. I wanted to make sure to share my experience because of this. Dr. Brown did an absolute awesome job. He kept me comfortable while I was in the hospital more than any doctor I think I’ve ever had surgery with, he made sure I wasn’t in pain. It’s now been a little over three weeks since surgery and I am doing much better than I was before surgery. I am only hurting in a localized are now, and not radiating, I hope this will get better as well. I was very hesitant to do the surgery but I’m glad that I listened to him and did it anyway. My follow up is 2/28. I can’t wait to thank him!!
Done surgery for L5 S1 with Dr.Brown. He is my man. Back to normal after first month. The staff, nurses amazing people, highly recommended Dr. Brown
Absolutely FABULOUS!! Best doctor/surgeon I have EVER had! I thank GOD for Dr. Brown!
He is all for workers comp. Disagreed with a well known neurosurgeon with over 30 years experience. What a quack
Dr. Brown is an amazing surgeon with years of experience. My surgery required invasive repair of my C spine. My recuperation has not been difficult due to my surgeon’s skill. He is down to earth, compassionate. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Brown takes his time and explains everything fully. You never feel rushed with him
Just had my 10 weeks post op visit. As usual Dr. Brown was relaxed and patient. He was quite thorough during the appointment and didn’t rush. He answered my questions and offered support and suggestions.
Treated my condition with great care and exemplary skill, would recommend highly

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
