List of Matthew Smith's Reviews
All-around wonderful physician. He’s very caring and knowledgeable. Has great bedside manner and is genuinely so happy for you during your entire pregnancy.
I went to Dr. Smith after I received news from another dr. that they would need to remove my ovary due to a large cyst. I went to Dr. Smith for a 2nd opinion and I'm so glad I did! He said there was no reason to have my ovary removed. After a 3 hour surgery Dr. Smith successfully removed the ovary and fast forward 4 years later he's delivered 2 healthy baby girls! Grateful for his faith and honesty.
Wonderful physician with years of experience. Always has a smile on his face, loves to make you laugh and is so caring! He's a true family man that treats you the way you should be treated. Highlands Center for Women is amazing all around.
Dr. Smith is a wonderful doctor with years of experience. I feel comfortable discussing multiple issues with him and I trust he knows what is best for my overall health.
Absolutely terrible bedside manner. I'm not sure how his patients stand him. I should have switched offices far earlier in my pregnancy. He questioned and challenged basic questions I had about my pregnancy. He was impatient, arrogant and condescending during appointments and delivery. He was stone-cold upon arriving at the hospital to deliver my first child, never smiled at me or got excited to deliver my baby. (I'm not asking for balloons, but even the nurses were appalled by his behavior.) If you don't mind totally patriarchal and patronizing patient care, he's for you.
Dr. Smith is a terrible excuse for a physician. I should have switched doctors sooner, and I will forever regret that I delivered with him. I stupidly thought he was "just having a bad day" during appointments, but he was rude, condescending and impatient during my delivery. He challenged me and my husband, and bullied us DURING ACTIVE DELIVERY at the hospital. Even the L&D nurses were appalled at his arrogant behavior and recommended I find someone new asap. I have always respected the opinion of medical professionals and my doctors, but he showed ZERO respect for me or my medical preferences during one of the most monumental times of my life: the birth of my child. I encourage you to look elsewhere, unless you enjoy a patronizing and stone-cold experience.
Knows absolutely NOTHING about endometriosis and was also incredibly weird about not doing a transvaginal ultrasound on me because I'm a "virgin" and he didn't want to pop my hymen - a terribly outdated social construct.
Dr. Smith delivered my first Grandson and I feel blessed that the delivery experience for my daughter was a good one! I also want to compliment the nurses at Patewood Memorial hospital for the wonderful support!
I loved Dr. Matt Smith! Where did he go?
Dr. Smith delivered my daughter and he was the best doctor and supporter I had besides family and friends. He did an excellent job doing my C-section. I do not even have a scar from where I was cut. I would recommend him to any of my friends or family.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
