Recently had triple bypass, I can't say enough about Dr Shah. Always had time to talk, never felt rushed, he is very personable and made me and my family feel well cared for.

Hi I'm Elizabeth Bennett and my Husband is Paul Bennett and on the 17th of December I brought my husband in to the emergency room because he was having trouble breathing and the hospital ran all kinds of test come to find out that there was a lot wrong with my husband he needed emergency Open Heart surgery and Dr Shah took care of him and did the surgery that lasted for 10 hours and if it wasn't for Dr Shah and his Team my husband would have been here he would have died.So I Thank you and your team for giving me back my husband.❤️💕

Hi! Dr. Shah is absolutely awesome. He is THE best. He takes as much time as you need, never making you feel rushed, and doesn't make you wait. Not only is he highly skilled, he's incredibly down to earth. Talking with him is like talking to a friend. He's so kind, informative, and open. Love him! Dr Shah was amazing before, during and after the mitral valve repair. Due to complications it had to be open heart surgery, he did an incredible job, there was only minimal discomfort during the recuperation period and now-six years later-it is like it never happened. Even during physical therapy (shortly after surgery) with many other patients from different doctors it was clear how superior his work was. The scar was almost nothing compared to the others, and the connected healing far faster as well. He is also the most personable and helpful doctor I have ever had. All around fantastic to be in such good hands for such a difficult situation.

I was so happy to have found Dr. Shah when he was at El Camino Hospital in 2016. I had been recently diagnosed with heart failure and my heart doctor, Dr. Gudapati, introduced me to Dr. Shah. Dr. Shah was very thorough and spent as much time as my wife and I needed to understand the open heart procedure that was needed. He is so very professional and cared to reach out during and after surgery. He is a superior heart surgeon. I never experienced any pain or discomfort after surgery.

Dr Shah did my robotic mitral valve repair. He was generous with his time, gave thoughtful answers to dozens of questions, was very accessible (even by text), connected me to other of his patients, jkand helped me through the hard decision about what type of replacement would be best if needed. His surgical skill was exceptional, and he stayed in close touch through recovery and beyond. I had a choice of head of Stanford who was opposite Dr Shah in most regards. You are in good hands w Shah!

I was so blessed to learn about Dr. shah and the robotic assisted DiVinci surgery in SF. He set up a great team, from his office staff to all the doctors I needed. Every t was crossed and I was dotted to make a smooth experience. I was up and walking in two days and had complete control over my pain. There are a few small scars on my right breast and two in my right groin area. All would be covered by the skimpyest of bikinis. Dr. Shah warned me that although I didn't feel like I had surgery, my heart had a titanium wire inserted to build a door frame and I needed to let it recover as if my sternum had been split. Slowing down after surgery was the toughest part of the whole experience. I have so much more energy and my fibromyalgia symptoms are almost gone. I wish I could give more stars as my whole experience was above and beyond anything I ever expected. (The salmon at the hospital was some of the best I have eaten and I am a foodie).

Dr. Shah has the complete package: he is highly skilled, articulates the process in a comprehensive manner, and has a positive yet realistic attitude. He visited me each day while I was at CPMC following my robotic mitral valve repair. I and my daughters highly recommend him.
