Andrea Hucks's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Hicks was my primary care doctor before I moved to another state about 15 years ago. My blood test showed one abnormality that she informed me of that stuck in my mind. That summer I spent in a remote area and had the same diet every day of garden kale, other fresh garden vegetables, wild sockeye salmon- all known to boost the immune system. Where I moved the next year I had a blood test and the worrisome abnormality was no longer present. It never recurred. I have Dr. Hicks to thank for making sure I knew what needed to be addressed. She empowered me to understand what it means to have more control over my health and well-being. I hope some day she will have an opening and I can become her patient again.

Dr. Hucks actually listens to her patients and works with them to create a plan of care. As a nurse of 25 years she is exactly what I have been looking for and needed.

Great listener. The most time spent with a doctor, ever. Highly recommend. First visit as a new patient over a hour. Second visit 30 minutes. Not the standard 2 minutes and tosses medicine at you like all other physicians nowadays.

She always listens to her patients. She has been my family's doctor for many years. She takes a conservative approach but always looks out for her patients' best interests. I would be lost without her!!

Dr. Hucks is by far the most intelligent, compassionate and informative doctor I have ever had. She really takes her time with you and offers medically sound advice. She also has an amazing ability to understand exactly what you are going through both physically and emotionally. I trust her completely and she has given me faith back into the medical system. She is honest and I feel very comfortable with her.

My wife's parents lived with us for about 9 months. Dr. Hucks accepted both of them and treated them extremely well medically and compassionately. They were both very pleased with Dr. Hucks. She recommended a book for the caregiver of Alzheimer patients. The book and her advice really assisted in this difficult time.

I have been a patient since I moved here 12 years ago and was referred to her by a friend (who's husband is a physician in Beaufort) I thought, if she liked her, so would I. I am so very lucky to find her. So caring, takes her time with me. My Mom moved here & loved her, too. I didn't think she took any new patients, so I was surprised she is now, because my daughter wanted to see her also. You will be lucky if she adds you to her patients list.

Frequent appointment problems, long wait time for appointments, billing errors, cursury exams.

Dr. Hucks has been my primary care doctor for 2 years and she has been excellent. She is a kind person who takes all the time necessary to discuss my health. When I was very sick she called me at home to check up. You just don't find many doctors like her anymore. You will probably need a referral to get an appointment.
