Dr refused to treat me for pain after suffering multiple seizures and wounds. Then his receptionist lied & told me he couldn’t provide a written justification for refusing to help me, which I am entitled to under law. I cannot imagine there ever being a valid medical reason to withhold painkillers f someone who had a major medical episode that left bruises all over my body I showed the doc. He did not care. Absolutely disgusting. The lack of intelligence & compassion is shocking. Don’t appreciate the receptionist lying either about my right to be provided w written denial of services. Shouldn’t be hard to provide justification IF it’s a sound medical choice on the Dr part.

Recently had first appointment. Everything about the visit was positive. Friendly staff. Short wait time. Dr. Derrick was very nice, listened to my history and supported my decisions with my health. Definitely glad I have become a new patient.

Dr Derrick is a nice man, but not so thorough. If your blood work shows an anomaly, he will react to it. If you have a complaint, he will listen to you. But he likely won’t discover much on his own.

I have been a patient of Dr. Derrick for a long time until today. I called to make an appointment for a complete physical. I am now on Medicare and its covered 100%. To my surprise and shock, I was told by the lady answering the phone that because I have not had an appointment in several years, I am no longer a patient of record there even though I have had many visits over a span of at least 15 years! I asked her if she had my old medical records there? She said she did. I actually asked the lady " So because I have been healthy for a couple years and could not afford a physical until now, I am being thrown to the curb"? Yep pretty much she said!! She did say you can come as a new patient, but I cant give you an appointment with Dr. Derrick until March - 5 MONTHS AWAY!!!!! I always liked Dr. Derrick. He was my Dr. when I had colon cancer. I guess this is what happens when you don't spend enough money with them! Sad!!!!
