He laughed at me when I told him that I was in pain and said that I'd be fine. He said he was not going to prescribe any pain medicines because he thought I was exaggerating my pain level. The next day I had to go to an emergency room for surgery and they were giving me fentenyl and morphine.

Dr. Bechtel is the best Doctor I have ever had, and I have experienced many having been relocated frequently during my 39 year career as a forester & systems development manager for International Paper Company. He has a true passion for his profession as a doctor, taking the time to listen to your concerns no matter how hectic things may be. Dr. Bechtel is punctual, always running on schedule. His diagnosis and treatment of my health concerns were always spot on, absolutely correct.

You will notice prior to 2014. Dr Bechtel came highly recommended. Reviews need to be updated. I was referred to him by family and friends with raving reviews how wonderful he was. Upon the first visits I could see why, he was caring compassionate and knowledgeable. The last year or so. It has become a uncaring, and irresponsible place for health care. Elderly patients wind up hospitalized due to lack of getting call backs and prescriptions called in. They continuously lose lab results at your inconvenience. While having you repeat work they have screwed up. Am looking for another physician with the original courtesy. Family and friends who loved him are telling me to let them know where we end up. They have noticed the difference as well.

My visit for a chronic condition was pleasant, but when I called for help with prescriptions a few weeks later, Dr. Bechtel was unprofessional, rude and refused to renew my prescriptions despite several attempts at communicating my situation. I was dumbfounded and never was given a reason why he wouldn't refill them. I am a nurse and have seen rude doctors before, but never has one been so apathetic and condescending.

Dr. Bechtel is passionate about his profession. He is a wonderful doctor, and you will never feel like he is not listening to you. I just love having him as my GP!!!
