Friendly, efficient & professional staff with short wait to see the Doctor.I found Dr. Montenegro to be very thorough in our discussion around whether or not I should even proceed with surgery. He hit on all the pros and cons, explaining clearly the potential downside due to some existing digestive issues, and had some concrete suggestions on how to control my symptoms in order to avoid surgery for as long as possible.Dr. Montenegro has a pleasant personality, explains issues in layman’s terms, answered all my questions and patiently addressed all my concerns. I would absolutely recommend him.

REALLY REALLY irritated today, the day after inguinal hernia surgery. So so so much pain. Terrible customer service from Dr Montenegro & his office staff at Coastal Carolina. No follow up from Dr after surgery or even a phone call today until i posted a negative review. Left numerous messages & to no avail. Prescribed only 7 pain pills, 4 incisions not explained, 45 minute surgery turned into 6 hours, never contacted My fiancé she had to eventually call them only to hear “he’s not handling the pain well.”I dont remember much at all thx propofol….. Hmmmmm so what really happened? I wrote this to save anybody in the future the same hassles he's causing me. Don’t recommend Since I posted this on my personal Facebook I’ve had friends who Are nurses who have worked with him, local teachers and realtors who have had the same issues. I’ve requested they do their own post as well to save you the hassle in the future.

From start to finish I received 5 Star treatment at Dr Montenegro's office beginning with the receptionist, the Physician Assistant and Dr Montenegro himself. I received a thorough physical examination and professional explanation of my medical situation which is going to require surgery in the near future. In addition, Dr Montenegro patiently entertained my questions, provided specific answers and easily won my confidence and trust. Dr. Montenegro has my highest recommendation for anyone facing the necessity of surgery and looking for a quality surgeon.
