I have taken both of my childern here for the past 4 years. And even when my child had to go out of state for some surgeries and emergency care at 7 days old he obviously couldn't be there with us but he called everyday to check on us sometimes 2 and 3 times my children will forever see him until they become adults Amazing doctor for locals and also visitors who need a quick peds doctor while vacationing. Great bedside manner and his PA is amazing Too!!

I have worked with this doctor for many years in the hospital and his office and his main focus is the patient. He is wonderful with children and very smart and a great diagnostician. I have seen him save infants lives and I would take my children and grandchildren to him in a heartbeat.

We required a Pediatrician on our recent visit to Hilton Head for our grandchild. Salerno Ped Care was the only clinic we could get in and we now know why. The bedside manner of this doc was terrible. He really should have been a proctologist. This guy is in the wrong profession.

We recently moved away from the area. My children (ages 6, 4 and 3) and I are going to miss Dr. Salerno and his staff. I have never felt so comfortable at a Dr.'s office before. My children like to draw pictures about and pretend to be Dr. Salerno. If ever I didn't understand something all I had to do was ask and he would break it down so that I did understand no matter how much time it took. He talked to my children directly about their situations and ask me for information they could not give (or translations of the baby talk). If I ever spent any time waiting for my children to be seen (rare) it was because another child was very sick. I didn't mind, because I would expect MY child to get the same treatment should the need arise. I only hope I can find another pediatrician half as awesome.
