I stopped going to Dr. King since his office was so disorganized. While Dr. King may be a good physician, having issues with receiving the proper tests made me concerned with the quality of care.
15 biopsies at coastal Carolina concerning prostate cancer
Personal care. Attentive. Professional.
Unbelievably rude receptionist. He threatened cancel my surgery after the receptionist lied straight thru her teeth suggesting I called her a b#tch In fact she was extremely rude when I asked to be put thru to a nurse, she actually refused telling me she had already answered my question,. I chose this office after having a severe infection emergency surgery in another state. I had blood work done rprior to my surgery indicating a low white blood cell meaning I had developed an infection, after 2 weeks of antibiotics I felt as though I had a worse infection- my mistake apparently was calling to report this and when the 2nd receptionist felt her job was to scold me and not to talk to her like “that” after she responded so rudely when I told her I couldn’t hear her it was super loud in the back ground….she reluctantly took my msg regarding my reporting I felt I still had an infection. As it turns out she held the msg didn’t forward it, my husband had to call and insist she mark it urgent, after calling to check on test results I was forwarded to a voice mail when I called a445 to get results I was forwarded to the office manager who in a passive aggressive way after I questioned the results she shared with me basically threatened to cancel my surgery and remove the stints he placed 2 weeks prior in his office and not address the HUGE kidney stone that remained and was to be addressed in the surgery scheduled the 5 days from the day we were speaking. When I said no and ended the calll. Dr. King phoned me immediately after we hung up, told me to report to the hospital the next day, (when we didn’t have child care) he told me I was exhausting his staff by calling “so many times”, I was going to kicked out of the practice. This because this receptionist said I call her a b#####. I almost died this summer I was in a comma for 12 days and had two huge kidney stones . So Forgive me for calling and asking to speak to a nurse and questioning what my first appointment would entail, and reporting I thought I had an infection that the antibiotics was not touching, calling for results of my urinalysis. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?ARE YOU KIDDING ME? HOW DARE YOU ALLOW YOUR STAFF TO PLAY GAMES WITH MY HEALTH HOW DARE YOU COPE ANY ATTITUDE WITH ME AFTER I ASK A SIMPLE QUESTION ABOUT MY SYMPTOMS AFTER MY SURGERY WITH YOU! YOU TOLD ME WE WOULD CROSS ALL OUR Ts and DOT ALL THE Is, being denied by a friggin receptionist who may think she is a physician, from being put thru to a nurse so I could leave a msg as though the buck stops with her is disgusting and backing her before speaking to the patient is disgusting g as well. Telling me I’m wearing out the staff and threatening to move the surgery without proper notice is disgusting. Your staff needs to be put in their place like now. Schedule the patients take payment pull your faxes off the machine make your copies and behave politely and professionally!!!!!
After several visits, I have not seen Dr. King. He deferred his visits to a np. When a procedure was scheduled, he refused to perform it because as his receptionist said, "How is np going to learn to do it." Receptionist was beyond rude, esp since she was a young woman and I am of an elder's age. I have found I still have the infection after months, which they had not followed up on.
Dr. King is very kind and caring. He takes the time to explain what is going on in your body and uses terms non medical people can understand. He is one of the best physicians I have ever seen. He has a great sense of humor as well.
So pleased with Dr King’s knowledge, expertise and compassion. Truly a great physician Excellent surgeon, highly skilled. I highly recommend him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
