This morning when I woke up, I had pain in my left middle back. I had been putting this pain off for awhile. I could no longer avoid the inevitable. I moved to the area a year ago and don’t have a primary physician just yet. The opened promptly at 8:00. I was taken back about 8:15. Everyone was friendly and kind and understanding. For the first time I felt like I was heard and wasn’t brushed off. Felt like I mattered. Felt like she was concerned about me getting well. The she I am speaking of is Nurse Practitioner Sharkira Talford. She was soft spoken and told me my options from the beginning. She even taught me that if I cough when getting a shot, I wouldn’t notice (I’m afraid of needles). This really was an amazing experience under the circumstances. I am grateful that I feel so much better. Taking a deep breath felt amazing and no longer hurt. Sometimes we take things for granted. But I am grateful for the opportunity to received the care that I did this morning. If I could change one thing it would be the communication up front. Maybe have people write their information down and pass it to you versus asking those questions out loud, the waiting area is small.

I have always had an amazing experience at Low Country in Camden. They have broken several uncontrolled migraines for me. The staff is always pleasant, service is faster than any acute care I’ve gone too even when it’s packed. My son recently was seen there, and isn’t much better. Ms. Zan was such a delight; zero no hesitation she said bring him back! In scary situations or when you feel horrible feeling safe and supported is rare. Thank you to everyone at LC!!

Really slow service, I went a week ago and waited almost 2 hours just to get in and my appointment was at 5 and I also went in for a sore throat and one of the nurses started screaming saying that I had pus pockets she really had to scare me and embarrass me like that.
