I was so pleased to find Dr. Bieschel's practice when I moved to Charleston. Unfortunately, since he left, things have changed. Dr. Bieschel informed me at my last visit (while he was still in the practice) that I only need to come back for a contact lense re-eval every 2-3 years. I purchased a large quantity of daily contact lenses from their office that didn't suit me. I suffered through my supply, and then I went back to ask for some samples to try before I ordered another lot of contacts through their office. Even though it was not time to return for a routine contact lenses appointment, they refused to offer me any to try without coming in and paying for another visit. Dr. Bieschel ran a no nonsense opthamology practice. They would happily give you a copy of your prescription, no questions asked. I never felt pressured to purchase my glasses or contact lenses from them, although I did choose to purchase my contact lenses from their office. As my contact lense prescription is still valid, I will be forced to go online and order from a random supplier.

Wonderful practice. Very thorough and very patient oriented. They take their time to educate us and make sure we understand everything, but still stay on schedule. Knowledgable, friendly staff too. I trust them with my sight.
