I was wrongly diagnosed and suffered for 10 years because of it. I finally went to another doctor out of state, and when they asked her about my diagnosis, she claims I never had what she was treating me for. She even helped me disability paperwork.

I have been seeing Dr. Roane since she finished her Fellowship! I was one of her first patients, 20 years ago! She is a very gifted and caring physician. She takes time, interest, and love of her profession...and helping. She has helped me more than I have space here to express. A dedicated physician, I love. 5 Star YES

She put me on meds for RA for almost 2 years and helped me gain disability. Then, when I went to get a second opinion, she told other doctors that I did not have it and made me look like an utter idiot. She ruined my life and put me back years in trying to find out what was really wrong with me. I was on high power IV infusions and methotrexate, which are extremely bad for you if taken without any cause. This has destroyed my life and yet she still practices and makes money while my life is completely destroyed by her incompetence to communicate and do the right thing by owning up to making a mistake. Anything would have been better than what she did to me and how it ruined my life. So, I say, be cautious and don’t be afraid to advocate for a second opinion. Meanwhile, I am still trying to find out the true cause of what is wrong with me.

I've been seeing Dr. Roane for 13 years. When I first went to her, I could not grip or hold onto anything. After trial and error with medications, I am once again able to take care of myself and have regained my independence.

She saved my life. I have an autoimmune disease and my iron was so low and she caught it. I ended up having to have a surgery and if I hadn’t had that surgery I would have been dead within a year. She is my lifesaver.

She’s friendly, knowledgeable, answers any questions I’ve ever asked, explains why she’s adjusting medication, etc and doesn’t make me feel like she’s rushing through my appointment. I feel fortunate to have her as my rheumatologist.

She has helped me for the past 3 years significantly. She has helped me overcome pain when I felt like giving up. She has also saved my life by discovering that my iron was fatally low and I ended up having some major issues and had to have major surgery. She is always there if I call or can’t come in or if I’ve had trouble getting my Medicine.
