He is too busy now. Had him for years and he is a good doctor but can't get a call back for days now. Never able to get a staff person on the phone to talk to when I call either. leaving.

I've been a patient here for several years and, after two terrible recent experiences, I will never return. I agree that they might be able to help with the sniffles (but so does health first in West Ashley and they're MUCH cheaper if you're self pay, like me). So, definitely don't even waste your money going in for something simple. As I am self pay, I pay upfront for my entire visit each appointment. Last month, out of nowhere, they claim I now owe them additional money ($200!) from two appointments dating back to 2013! When I asked what extra charges were incurred during those visits and why it is only being brought up to me SEVEN YEARS LATER, they couldn't tell me what the charges were for, just that I needed to pay. They refused to tell me any more info. Second, the final straw, I called asking to have a medication adjusted for depression that I was not reacting well to. They refused to even see me. Neither Dr. Durrence nor his PA would take a moment to even speak to me on the phone. Instead, I was given a hope-shattering phone call from one of the office employees, Jene. Not only was I told they would no longer be willing to help me at all, I was openly mocked as I sobbed on the phone. At liberty doctors, your health and well-being DO NOT MATTER!!! If you are in need of help, expect they will abandon you! NEVER WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

Dr Durrence’s background as a pharmacist prior to becoming an MD is invaluable in knowing what drugs to prescribe, while not over subscribing. His patience, demeanor, and sense of humor combine to make him the kind of physician that many of us believed no longer exist... or, at the very least, are a rarity.

I love Dr. Durrence and his office staff is exceptional. He knows his stuff and is very caring...I am 70 and in pretty good health but see him every 3 months for check in. He listens and takes time. Sometimes I have to wait a bit to see him but I get the same care the person before me did...he never rushes through...I get calls back and his nurse is great about refills.

Excellent. Comfortable waiting area courteous staff and got in was taken care of and felt very satisfied with diagnosis and treatment.

I have been seeing this office for about 18 years. They are very concerned about the health and welfare of their clients. I am glad that my care is not based on the time spent in a waiting room or with the doctor. All of my concerns are addressed in a visit with my Provider. If the Provider is running late, then the person before me required some more time and it is not a reflection of my care. It is a reflection of their concern for another more complicated patient. The staff are very nice, and all care about doing a good job to serve and answer to my needs. Healthcare has changed tremendously over the past decades and requires the MD to have ancillary staff in any practice, and this office has the most professional.

Dr. Hugh Durrence has been my doctor for over 16 years. One of my yearly check ups he caught that I had a nodule in my throat. I didn't even know it existed. He immediately sent me to get test from a specialist. He was correct I had thyroid disease. I could have had protruding eyeballs among other issue had it not been diagnosed very early. The staff is extremely kind and helpful.

Super disappointed in the way I was treated after being a patient for 8 years. Dr. E was always wonderful and really helped me over the years. The NP who took over for him not so much. Nobody made me aware that my refills wouldn’t be valid as soon as Dr. E retired and his DEA # was made inactive. I had a grand mal seizure and was hospitalized from not being able to pick up my refill. Thanks for looking out for the best interest of your patients. Hopefully the kickbacks you all will receive off that SSRI will be worth it. I really hope you all learn from this and don’t let it happen to someone else.

I have being to this office for 5 years. I try to see Vickie each time. She rocks and is always so nice. Lacresha and Willie also are so nice. I would recommend them to anyone. Sometimes they run slow but it is not always a problem.
