Not a good office to try to schedule an appointment with. Poor customer service they do not return phone calls when promised and are booked out a t least 1 month before they can see anyone. If you have someone suffering from symptoms go somewhere where they can actually get in to be seen.

After a colleague of his suggested I needed surgery Dr Bumgartner literally laughed at me and said I simply had a migraine. I’m so glad that I went to MUSC for a second opinion because I found out I had a condition that needed brain surgery. I sat in his office in horrible pain and he laughed in my face. He didn’t even look at my chart for my past history per the nurse. It was a horrible experience. I do not recommend this doctor.

Dr. Bumgartner is a rare physician combining the highest level of training expertise and compassion. I most highly recommend Dr. Bumgarter and his caring and capable staff.

In my opinion he does not have a patients best interest. Find another doctor

I would give his bedside manner a 10 if possible

Very knowledgeable as he has many years of experience. Sense of humor as well. Nice smile.

I realize Dr Bumgartner has to give patients bad news on a regular basis but his delivery of bad news to our family seemed very clinical and uncaring. I wish he could have been more in tune with our devastation at the diagnosis of our immediate family member. It also would have been helpful if he had spent a little more time with us after giving us the diagnosis. We barely had time to digest what he said before we were rushed out of the office.

Dr Bumgartners delivery of a devastating diagnosis was rushed uncaring and clinical. I realize he has to give bad news to patients on a regular basis but he seems to have become numb to the feelings of others.

Best around and staff is excellent

While sitting in the waiting room I overheard some of the things that some of the patients were saying in the waiting room about this office. I have heard how the office manager is very nonchalant and could care less about how her medical assistants dont return phone calls how they dont check their messages and even when you get no where with the assistants and you go to or call her with a complaint she brushes it under the rug like they do. she does not hold her staff accountable for anything. Is it more of I want to be there friend than their office manager. She also seems to be just as clueless as they are.
