My sister begged for referrals only to be turned down and suffered horribly. Shes 6ft under under. Charleston is rated near worst healthcare and dont we know it. Its like a 3rd world country. Horrifying. Go out of state if you become ill for the sake of your life.

He did not listen to me under prescribed and left me in a worsened and suffering condition. Extremely upsetting experience.

Not a good listener and does not move outside the box. After thousands spent via insurance I was left in the same condition or perhaps worse than when I walked into the door. He needs to listen to the patients and get out of the box to treat the out of the ordinary diseases. Very very disappointed and angry he took more then he gave. Otherwise he and his staff were friendly but friendly does not cure a suffering from a disease thats taken hold of your body because it was not properly treated.

Dr. Basile is kind and has excellent bedside manner. He makes you feel comfortable and he listens. The entire staff were so great from preop all the way through to the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Basile and Charleston GI.

After several years of excellent experiences with Dr. Brener at Charleston GI I had my first appointment with Dr. Basile after Dr. Brener retired. I was immediately impressed with Dr. Basile’s friendly relaxed demeanor. We had a shared experience that he did his internship and residency at UVA in Charlottrsville VA where we lived for many years. He even took time to let an old retired guy tell him a story about a good friend who also happened to be a legendary gastroenterologist at UVA and also Noble prize winner. Since then I have had 4 procedures with Dr. Basile that were excellent experiences.

Excelente experience every time Ive been there. Dr. Basile really listens addresses your concerns is kind and considerate. Staff is sweet and kind. Very very helpful. Happy to go there.

Dr Basile has done my colonoscopy for the last 7 years and removed at least 25 polyps he is very easy to talk to I’m now going to need my gallbladder removed I believe and I pray he can do it if not I will have complete confidence in whoever he recommends Will update afterwards
