List of Joseph Alagna's Reviews
Best primary care doctor my husband and I have seen in SC. He listens well and is very thorough. His manner is respectful and his staff respects him.
I have enjoyed being a patient of Dr. Alagna. I was recently diagnosed with an auto immune disease and he has assisted me with proper medication and referrals. If I’m ever sick I can get in to see him. Always friendly and focused on what’s best for my health.
Went in for a physical. The doctor coded most of the visit as 'diagnostics', which is evidently billed differently than a normal physical. No tests were run by them, no hands on exam. Just a normal physical Q&A. Apparently, you really need to watch what you discuss with this doctor, or else you may find yourself paying out of pocket for the visit. Before this, I'd never been charged hundreds for just a normal physical. The whole experience is counterintuitive to what I've always understood doctors being there for. If you can't have an honest conversation with your doctor, then what's the point? Also, why are they billing diagnostic codes, when they didn't even run any tests? I did call them to discuss the coding. They said I should hear back within 24 hours. That was days ago. Tried to call again today, and was on hold indefinitely.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
