I had 3 visits in 2018 for painful hemorrhoids. I’m fitin my 30s yet I’d experienced bleeding extreme pain prolapsing which I immediately informed Dr. Hadzijahic of. I knew Charleston GI performs hemorrhoid banding I asked if I was a candidate post a 1 minute examination he said I would be 5 minutes later performed the 1st banding procedure. It is necessary to wait a few weeks between banding sessions. After 2 months my symptoms had not improved. On visit 3 I again showed the Dr. photos of my condition to which he then said “Oh I didn’t know they looked like that banding will not fix them you need a surgeon.” At that point I’d paid for 3 visits 2 banding sessions paid $700. How a GI could not during 1st examination be able to make a determination of the stage of the hemorrhoids and that banding wasn’t a viable option before doing 2 bandings with a 3rd banding almost occurring if not for my photos questions was outrageous Dr was pleasant but horrible visits

I have been a patient of Dr. Neven since 2011. I have chronic pancreatitis and was seeing another doctor for 5 years previously who was only making matters worse for me. Dr.Neven gave me my life back he is a very compassionate doctor by that I mean he actually listens and observes and treats. It took less than 6 months to get the right meds and now I have my back for the most part. i have never had a problem getting scheduled for an emergency appointment. i have not been to the ER since 2011.

Dr. Neven is a great doctor I suffer from ulcerative colitis and since I started seeing him I rarely have flareups. He has a great bedside manner and clearly cares for his patients.

I was refered to Dr. Neven by my family doctor who recommended him highly. I found Dr. Neven to be very knwledgeable and everyone at his practice went out of their way to be nice and put the patient me at ease. Even when I had to have my endoscope done twice the same day my fault long story the staff was very accomodating and the nurse in charge Stephanie was the greatest. Having GI issues is not fun but if anyone in the Charleston area needs to have their plumbing looked after then look no further than Dr. Neven and the great staff at Charleston GIyou cannot be in better hands
