List of Palmetto Primary Care Physicians's Reviews
Every appointment it takes an hour after your appointment start time to even get called back. It's horrible.
Palmetto primary care Daniel Island is amazing! They have been so accommodating and helpful.
This practice at the outset looked ok, but after going in for a series of visits, the doctor (Thomas Bolt) always seemed to order tests that had nothing to do with the reason for the visit. Moreover, he wanted to schedule another visit within 2 months. Always. The final straw was when 9 tests (yes, 9) were ordered and I had to pay out of pocket (until deductable was reached). During the subsequent phone visit, only 1 of these tests were ever mentioned. When I called the office manager to complain, calls were never returned. Only when I contacted the patient liason did the manager call me and was curt and rude. I'm filing a complaint with the medical board.
Not everything is covid-19! I am very disappointed in the nurse I spoke with who gave me attitude. I am not able to receive my inhaler when I have athma because my allergies have gotten really bad and cause me a little tight chest. I have runny nose, post nasal drips, water itchy eyes and ear some congestion. I am being told to go to the ER to do test when I know it's my asthma\ allergies. I can't afford to go to the ER for them to just tell me what I already know!
I've seen a few doctors at this office over the last three years as has my husband and we have never had a good experience. We will be searching for a new primary care provider asap. It's nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone, no-one has ever gone over lab work with me, my husband was billed for a visit that he never had and then told that he had to find the doctor that billed it as he no longer worked there. No one replies to my messages on the patient portal and I have always ended up having to go to the hospital or walk in clinic after my appointments here in order to actually receive care. I wish it was just one person as this is our closest facility, but I've had issues with two doctors, office staff, and billing staff. I would definitely look elsewhere if you're in need of anything more than a regular physical.
Quick check-in; lobby not crowded; promptly escorted to exam room
I wanted to like this practice. I really like Dr. Davis but the practice is a disaster. It is run so poorly and the staff are like robots and couldn't care less about you or your health care! And that's if you can get thru for a receptionist to even pick up. Just today I waited 6 minutes for a human to answer. I do not recommend at all. Not at all worth the hassle. Just requested my records and will find another practice.
I have been a patient of Dr Davis for over 15 years...love her and her staff
Beware re: the Antibody Testing! The practice will tell you it is covered by insurance and then bill your insurance for $200 for the telehealth appointment that they require before you can have blood drawn. My telehealth appointment lasted no more than 2 minutes, during which the NP asked me my address and where I worked, and whether I was exposed or sick in the last 2 weeks. That insurance bill now means I owe $50, and the NP didn’t even ask me all of the questions reportedly required! Again, when I called and asked specifically about whether the testing was covered, this charge was never mentioned, and it is not listed on their website. That is unethical. Would not recommend an establishment with these sorts of practices, and would not recommend doing the Antibody testing through them. Also, any time I have called recently with health questions, it has taken them 3-4 days to call me back.
I love my doctor but this office has gone downhill. It takes forever to see the doctor (approximately 2 hours). I can never get a hold of the person that’s supposed to be calling me back about my prescription, the people who answer the phone are rude and I’ve been hung up 2 to 3 times on average while holding.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
