The cardiac and vascular team at Roper Hospital in my case lead by Dr. Scott Ross were fantastic. From the decision as to what procedure to use to preparation to day of surgery and then recovery. The recovery staff were caring dedicated and supportive. They didn’t take no for an answer and had me up and on my feet the next day sounds bad but it’s actually part of the recovery plan. I would give Dr. Scott Ross more stars if I could. Dr. Ross repaired my Aortic Aneurysm replaced my failing Aortic Heart Valve. He monitored my status for a while before surgery and was not pushy in any way to have the procedure before it was necessary. Dr. Ross thoroughly explained my options regarding surgery and spent all the time I needed with him before and after the procedure. I do not live in Charleston and I spoke with other surgeons when decided who to use and decided to travel to Roper St. Frances to have the procedure done with Dr. Ross and it was the best decision I could have made. I am three weeks into recovery and I truly feel great I will recommend Dr. Ross to anyone I ever come across who is in need of cardiac surgery. Thank you Thank you Thank you Dr. Ross P.S. All of his Cardiology Team are wonderful and caring people as well. I could write much much more but I will leave it at that.

We were impressed with how much time he spent with us. He explained surgery in good detailas to what he would be doing and why. Discussed the options and explained why he thought surgery wouldbe best for me. would recommend him to others who need a cardiac surgeon.
