My son burned his hand. 3rd degree full thickness burn. He chose to go to MUSC and Dr Kahn was his MD after given a choice of burn units at another hospital.He was amazing! Burn happened on the Monday before Thanksgiving and is now almost completely healed! He was SO present and involved every step of the way! He seen my son on thanksgiving day!! He also performed a debriding in the ER rapidly. He has AMAZING NP AND PA! My son is functioning at almost 100% this close out! I will choose him over any 2 hour ride for any other burn issues! (Praying no more!). I cannot say enough about him and his team! Burn unit was FULL and they attended to him in the ER until a room opened on the BURN unit!! Minimal pain and GREAT care! Great! Treated my burn with a skin cell spray so I didn't have a big skin graft donor site

When I got burned in my yard and came to the burn center about 30 minutes away from Georgetown, I didn't realize that I would be treated by one of the best doctors in the US. I didn't even know they had a burn center there, but it was amazing- it has only been open for a year or so. I googled Kahn and it turns out he is known all around the country and is and has done all kinds of research studies and has access to some really cool technology that helped me heal without a big skin graft. My donor site was only a few inches and he made a skin cell spray and you can barely see my scars. He also helped me with my diabetes and helped quit smoking. He has the best team with the best physical therapists who beat you up, and push you til it hurts, but get you better.

Dr. Kahn enrolled me in a research study using a fake skin that allowed me to have a smaller donor site when I needed a skin graft. I was really happy with the result. I later learned that he cam from Vanderbilt and has like 50 publications and is recognized as a leader in his field despite being pretty young. Mobile is really lucky to have him

I was one of his youngest patients only being 16 and he said my life and I became his and the icu nurses babygirl and gave me my own birthday party but when I got let home on Easter my head graft got infected and he knew he did all he could and sent me to Texas to Shriners with one of his buddies and now I’m fully healed and btw I was burned 14% with 6th and 7th degree burns by a bonfire with gas poured on it
