Theodore G. Gourdin's Online Review Report Card

Doctor Gourdin is an amazing GI doctor. I was skeptical to see a GI specialist but after meeting with him I was so pleasantly surprised. He is very kind and listens to the patient. He addressed all my concerns and gave great solutions. He is a very nice person that really cares about his patients. The procedure with him was fast and painless and I would highly recommend him to anyone with GI issues.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Gourdine for over 20 years. We have always been confident in his work and his bedside manner has always been very caring and sometimes humorous. No one enjoys the procedures of many of the tests that he needs to administer but Dr. Gourdine takes great interest in each individual case.

Dr Gourdin in very knowledgeable and kind. He kept me well informed and pleasantly addressed all of my concerns. Procedure was easy and painless. I would recommend Dr Gourdin to anyone looking for a wonderful GI physician.

My experience is very similar to the 61314 patients visit. He was fast. He did very little. Then he got up walked out on us. We thought he was coming back. Next thing we know his nurse came. We asked where the Dr. went. She said he was all finishes? I did set up an Upper EndoscopyColonoscopy. He said everything was okay after the procedure. Still dont know whats wrong with me. Scheduling an ultrasounding next. The leaving not coming back was very disrespectful.

EXCELLENT DOCTOR AND STAFF He really listens to you and made me feel completely at ease with the procedure I was having done . Excellent bedside manner and his staff was awesome

Dr. Gourdin is one of the most compassionate and kindest doctors I have. I always look forward to my visits with him and I have highly recommended him to family and friends.

Dr. Gourdin listens and cares. He is very good about referring to another doctor when needed. I really appreciate have him as my gastrointestinal specialist. I was able to get an appointment right away when I needed one.

My husband has been Dr. Gourdins patient since 1996 to 12915 Dr. Gourdin is Get you in out doctor. Does not take the time to understand or have compassion for his patients. In addition his nurse is very rude talks down to you and has no compassion for Caregivers. Shes the worse nurse to be in this field.Crohns is very challenging and difficult for the Patient and Caregiver. Its very important to have a Doctor his staff to have compassion.

Dr gourdins office from beginning to end is strictly about income. I have federal employees health insurance which paid for the procedure but they insisted on some sort of payment up front. After insurance paid them I was owed a refund. It was difficult to get the refund. It took over a month. The staff is rude reciting the doldrums of procedures while pushing papers to sign. Dr Gourdin does not allow questioning. The office visit was never completed in my view. He seems very impatient. He left the room in what i thought was about less than 2 minutes. I thought he was going to return and allow me the time to consult with him concerning my stomach. He didnt come back in. During actual procedure he didnt return to answer questions again My husband asked why my ear was bleeding . The nurse didnt know and went to ask dr. He didnt check me and told nurse to put ice on it as it was swollen to the size of a grape When sedative wore off both throat and ear were painful. Next day found he had crushed my ear and my uvula during procedure. Ear swelling went down but throat was on fire. Again Dr. Gourdin didnt check me. I could not tolerate the pain so the rude nurse sent me to Dr Ironess. Dr Ironess tried to pass it off as an infection but his expression said otherwise..he had the look of uhoh. He called my ENT and gave his version. The ENT said to prescribe antibiotics. It left me unsettled so after leaving the office i immediately drove over to see my ENT. After examination he confirmed wrongdoing. He said it was trauma to my throat from the procedure.. He gave me a cortisone shot. The uvula fell off in about a week after the trauma.

The staff for this Doctor was terrific. They took exceptional care in my appointments. Doctor Gourdin however was not a physician I would recommend. He rushed through my consultation and scheduled an endoscopy without any exam on me. At the endoscopy I felt rushed and he left post scan before I could wake up from anesthesia to ask questions. The nurse he assigned to me left out parts of the findings on my scope when she talked to me. I was told they could not find the cause of my symptoms and scooted out the door. There was no explanation on what to do next or opportunities to ask questions. When called by the office I told a receptionist a nurse and the follow up scheduling employee that I would not make another appointment with this Doctor and I explained why. The lack of thoroughness and follow through made me regret I chose this Doctor for my GI care.
