I was given Valerie Koeppen's name as a professional that could help our family locate an Assisted Living facility for my 54 year old brother. This was uncharted territory for my family and until we met Valerie, very stressful. After getting needed information from us, Valerie talked to us about the process and then arranged places for us to visit. She met us at each facility and knew the questions to ask throughout the process. As she got to know us, Valerie began to know which places to visit and which would not be a good fit. Valerie is so professional, knowledgeable, intuitive and easily guided us through this process until we found the right facility for our brother. She stays in touch with you but was never pushy and offered her perspective when asked. I cannot recommend Valerie enough! You will be satisfied with her services!

Sister Valerie, as I call her is such a sweet, genuine and kind soul! I am so happy we got acquainted! She takes care of her clients like they are her family which makes her family! I highly recommend her.Valerie assuredly guided my sister, who was moving from a nursing home to an assisted living apartment, and me through the process of finding a place in the middle of Covid, keeping in mind not only what my sister needed, but what she desired. So the process was a bit more challenging than usual. We could drive by and look at the physical structure from outside and talk to some staff on their porches. But the indoor tours Valerie arranged had to be virtual. So, from our homes, my siblings and I would be led by staff who could virtually walk us through and answer any questions we may have.The assisted living home our sister and I ended up choosing was one that I kept pushing aside, not because I wasn’t interested, but because it was out of our price range. Valerie went the extra mile and contacted staff at the one she wanted us to see and called to let me know they were negotiable on price. Because of Covid, this place, which usually had a waiting list no longer did. And a few vacant apartments, to boot. This was very unusual. But so is life in the time of Covid. We jumped. If Valerie had not taken care with the details, we would never have looked.After virtual tours and porch interviews, Valerie helped to wrangle a brief inside visit for me (with proper prescreening and PPE) to do a quick tour. I had already seen it in detail virtually so I was familiar with the layout, but I also wanted to get the feel of the place. I spent most of my time in the potential apartment available to our sister. That visit sealed the deal. We had found my sister’s new home.My sister says when she enters, “I feel like I’m home”. It’s a wonderful fit. I deemed Valerie our “assisted-living real state agent“. Everyone’s journey is different when looking for a long-term care facility. But one thing is certain. Valerie not only uses her invaluable expertise to educate and guide you through it, she tends to the details. Good job, Valerie. Good job
