Always made to feel at ease
Saved the vision in both of my eyes
Office was clean and well organized. Staff was courteous, pleasant and professional.
Very pleasant staff. Dr Fishburne as always was pleasant and professional. Great experience.
From the time you walk in the door until the time you leave, the folks that work here make it calm and comfortable. The receptionists are fun while maintaining professionalism. They greeted patients by name as they walked in and work to create a rapport. Such a refreshing experience when everything is so uptight in the current social climate. Going from office to office and waiting in between - the environment remained relaxed. The waits may be a little long but it's because they are thorough. And I much prefer that over being rushed. They explained everything they were doing and why and treat every question with concern. My favorite part was seeing the internal pictures of my eyes blown up. I wish i could get a copy so i can put it on a poster. So pretty! 😊 Overall - if you have a choice - chose Palmetto Retina Center.
Being that I was very nervous about my visit, the pleasant, warm, and kind attitudes of the staff there provided me with a reassurance I had been referred to the best place.
I attempted to speak with and schedule a consultation with Dr Fishburne given a referral from two other out of state specialists. He and his staff wasted a significant amount of my time by not giving me a 15 mins discussion with the doctor and requiring me to speak with over 6 different employees to be "put into their process" when I expressly asked for a review of the information I forwarded from the other doctors. It became clear to me that this practice is more about serving their process than listening to a client's need. If you want to deal with a mediocre staff, "standard" processes that serve the doctors and not your specific concerns, as well as spending a lot of your time providing them with much more information than they provide you -then you should go to see Dr Fishburne. If you want to experience a high quality service provider team, I'd recommend you look elsewhere (based on my direct experience over three sets of phone calls with them). Dr Fishburne was referred by an out of state specialist who had not worked with him in the past but who took the risk of recommending him. Dr Fishburne's team took what should have been "an easy play" and decided to "fumble" the opportunity. This in itself likely reflects Dr Fishburne's practice culture - one lacking hunger, focus on clients, a degree of largesse that lends itself to taking things for granted and delivering very "average" or below average overall client experience. Retina care is too important to sign up for that sort of outcome/experience.
He is the best. You would have a hard time to find a doctor as good as he is..

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
