Chaudhry M. Mushtaq's Online Review Report Card

I use Dr. Mushtaq for Genetic Hemochromatosis at SC Oncology and he is awesome. Between Dr. Mushtaq and the nurse Kitra, my condition has been kept well under control. The entire staff at SC oncology are always a pleasure to deal with.

My team of Dr. Mustafa and Kitra have been my angels. I am alive after almost 3 years. We are now researching a transplant. SCOA has the most respectful and pleasant staff. 5 stars on my care so far. Hope to update review in 10 yr.

I have been going to Dr. Mushtaq for 4 years. He listens to all of my concerns and addresses them. I also love his nurse practitioner, Kitra, that is with him at all of your visits. She is also very helpful. So far, Dr. Mushtaq has not been one to let matters go unattended ! All of the staff at SC Oncology has been very nice since day 1 that I have stepped foot in their facility and they have worked well with me on scheduling.

I’m writing as a person who regularly brings a close friend to see Dr. Mushtaq. I have 40 years of nursing experience.Dr. Mushtaq is knowledgeable and thorough. He answers questions clearly and considerately to someone who’s hard of hearing. His staff are professional and show a genuine caring for both the patient and me. (No violation of PHI-I’m there at client’s request.) Thank you for being there for us during difficult times.

Excellent care since 2013

Dr Mushtaq has been my oncologist since 2015. He first treated me when I was diagnosed with stage 4 non Hodgkin lymphoma and has been caring for me ever since. He’s very caring and always available to answer questions and comfort you. I personally think he’s amazing and I thank him for helping me. Fantastic Doctor!!!

Wonderful doctors and staff

I was very lucky to get Dr. Mushtaq as my oncologist. He has been very comprehensive and responsive to any questions I may have. I am currently receiving treatment at South Carolina Oncology (SCOA), and the staff throughout the building are top quality professionals with total compassion for anyone they treat. I highly recommend Dr. Mushtaq and SCOA!

Just didn't like my doctor

I went to see Dr. Mushtaq about radiation therapy for my previously diagnosed breast cancer. All my surgery, test results were presented to him. After reviewing my results, he sighed, shook his head and said we can't treat you with Chemo, your test results aren't high enough, but we will treat you with radiation. My test results were in my favor, Even the post lumpectomy MRI and lab results were negative. He felt that was bad. After my appointment with the radiation oncologist, I realized what a scam all this treatment was. It was so they could make money. Not so they could prevent or treat any cancer, because it was removed from surgery. I researched the European standards of care for my type of cancer. In the 20 years of their research, they recommended no radiation therapy, because they found it would have no effect on the recurrence. They wanted to radiate me 5 days a week for six weeks. Besides a CT weekly and multiple blood test. I could have never paid for this. I cancelled all appointments with them. I saw a surgeon who did a mastectomy. All the tissue, after my previous lumpectomy and sentinel, the sentinel was negative as was all the tissue they wanted to radiate. I could have developed lung problems from all the radiation therapy they were prescribing. This is VERY UNETHICAL. Just to take your money with no regulation or consideration to what they will cause. DO Not Use them! I see them treating Pancreatic cancer patients, giving them false hope just to make money. Making the patient severely ill when they know they will not survive and all the treatment will not help.
