Horrible night mare experience with my Mother's grueling 8 hour surgery at 88 years old and resulting dimise.Extra procedure added right before surgery.Switched surgeon's and added procedure without disscussion.Extra procedure obviously resulted in my Mother,s death. He evaded all if our questions.Would not explain what to hey were going to do.My Mother was toataly heart broken at what they did to her.It was the saddest day of my life.In my opinion Mr.Claire was callous, evasive, egotistical insensitive and heartless. Please avoid this person. Also he switched to an unknown surgeon, but gladly signed her death certificate falsley stating she died of vascular disease. I'm
Had bad leg problems, he put in the stunts and problems have eased up some.
I would highly recommend Dr. Clair for Thoracic outlet syndrome! Dr. Clair and his staff are very knowledgeable, pleasant and comforting! I was suffering from an undiagnosed pain for 22 years when I finally I was referred to Dr. Clair and immediately after surgery I was pain free! I am thankful to finally have a life where my quality is a lot better! I am now 6 months post op and very satisfied
Super doctor and super person. I don't know how he does what he does but he does it. Columbia SC is so fortunate to have this amazing vascular surgeon.
Amazing man and physician! Heart of Gold. Held my hand after major surgery even ❤ I don't trust many Dr's after seeing 12 before being diagnosed and treated for some rare conditions. Dr. Clair took the time to listen to me and build my trust in him. He fought for me when no other physician would. He is my life saver and my hero.
Does not follow through with medical plan. During my wife's appointment he was rude and promised to call after reviewing file, after week 5 of no call we find out from another doctor my wife has cancer. What an a**
Dr. Clair completed a procedure that all other doctors said couldn’t be done. It improved my quality of life tremendously at the young age of 30. That was 10 years ago. I have been living my best life ever since, and I will be forever grateful.
Dr. Daniel Clair repaired my husband’s abdominal aortic aneurysm in 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic. Our first consult, a local vascular surgeon, described Dr. Clair as “the best vascular surgeon in the world.” Dr. Clair’s surgical skill and patient rapport are exceptional. We were very disappointed to learn that he transferred to Columbia, but Ohio’s loss is SC’s gain.
The entire experience was the most horrible debacle I have ever encountered in my 65 years on the planet.Claire totally avoided me and changed the surgery with out my consent or knowledge. The excessive procedure resulted in my mother's death an nothing was done to alert the family or try to save her The entire experience was devestating.I would Never recommend this person.
In October, I had my failing IVC filter removed by Dr. Daniel Clair and he put in 2 stents and said it would fix my left leg ... He is my favorite surgeon ... He made me a promise and kept it, my legs are wonderful ... I'm very pleased with him ... If he sees this THANK YOU DR. CLAIR FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART !!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
