Our time together was brief as Dr. Shannon needed more info and once I had what he needed he was called to an emergency at the hospital. Will hopefully have more time with him via phone tomorrow to get his diagnosis.

I would highly recommend Dr. Shannon to anyone with a spinal nerve issue. Dr. Shannon took time to clearly explain what he would recommend and what risks were involved. He gave me the opportunity to think over his plan but I chose to proceed as quickly as possible. He told me that my leg pain should go away immediately after surgery and it did. I can not thank Dr. Shannon enough for the excellent service and outcome of my surgery. I am totally pain free.

Dr. Shannon completely resolved my severe pain from multi-level disc failure and spinal stenosis. His skill amazes me; I don't know how he does what he does in such a confined space and so thoroughly that I got my life back after one surgery). He was patient and took the time to answer my questions in my three visits with him and when I was in the hospital. I had total relief within 10 days of surgery, which I did not expect after 10 months of debilitating pain. My critique for the practice is improvement in preparing patients for the post-surgical experience. I found a "lumbar surgery guide" put out by John Hopkins after I was home and wondering what is and is not normal. It would have beeb nice to have the information provided when my surgery was planned (with tips like to buy a grabber, expect fatigue for more than a few weeks, etc. and a "call the doctor if . . . " list). Overall, I found the info I needed and could not be more grateful to Dr. Shannon.

Dr. Shannon explained everything option after an additional x-ray. I felt very comfortable talking to him because he really listened. I look forward to continuing to be in his well trained hands.

he promised the world in 2019 and actually made things worse.. i had a similar surgery in 97 and was back to work in two weeks, that one lasted four hours.. he was in and out in an hour and i just about had to crawl out of the hospital.. i have issues from a car accident can't hardly stand or walk, he said i can fix that, HE FAILED.. NOW they tell me i need a 3 level fusion, my lower back will never be touched again by anybody..
