Yall better start counting your days cause I promise you yall are in for a big rude awakening tomorrow someone is gonna have real bad day is all I got to say for them cause my MOTHER could’ve died because of the careless money hungry mfers up there but I promise you yall have messed with the wrong one this time
Awesome nursing staff. The provider staff seems a bit chaotic and do not seem to communicate often.
Terrible they refused to check out my issue the Dr said he was getting something to help look at the issue and shortly after 2 security dudes told me I am being discharged
Excellent care, my aunt from Virginia was here for Thanksgiving and had congestive heart failure during her visit. The staff at MUSC hospital took such good care of her and was on top of their game 24 hours a day for 8 days while she was there. I am a huge fan and told all my friends and family to only go to this hospital.
As of 11/23/2024, my mother is currently housed in this hospital with covid and other underlying health issues. While there we met a nurse who walked in introduced herself, looked at my mother and stated, "you look bad, you look sick, if you do not get on oxygen I will have to save your life". Caused my mother to clutch her chest and cry. As her daughter, I immediately when into attack protection mode and responded to such being. This nurse did not provide my mother with any hope for life. Not to mention, my mother was sitting up, eating -pudding trying her best to speak to us but her speech and psych was not at baseline. However, there was no medical indication that death was knocking at her door. The audacity of this being (Nurse). The nerve to state to us, the family, "these are questions we have to ask the patients". That was not a question, that was a statement followed with death. I repeated to this being that, "you have scared my mother (2x). I have never felt so frustrated, angered, the need to defend my mother at all costs, and hurt to see my mother terrified for her life. Today, 11/24/2024 it was determined that my mother had not been bathed since her admittance. When her nurse arrived, I had to ask for clean sheets, towels, gowns, body wash, the whole kit due to my mother not being provided one. I had to bathe my mother myself with the help of two family friends. While I bathe, my friends stripped the beds, whipped and sanitized the mattress and replaced with fresh everything. I am so disgusted with the services provided by this hospital. Our family has become so worried that we are literally taking turns staying overnight with her due to the provided car/ treatment. More so, the room has yet to be cleaned and sanitized. I asked for house keeping, the young lady walked in, replaced bag by the door stated she would be right back and never returned. I have been asking for someone to clean the room as medical pieces, tape, paper were scattered on the floor. However, my brother gloved up and picked up as much as he could. I also asked for permission to bring in my own swifter to thoroughly clean and sanitize my mothers room. It was granted (terrible). As I was making my exit today, my mother finally tried to have a conversation. She was noted throughout the day nodding in and out of sleep, displaying delirium behaviors such: being easily distracted, less aware of where she is, the time (disorientation) suddenly not be able to do something as well as normal (for example, walking or eating), arms twitching, drooling, eyes watering, The only thing she could say clearly was, "I think I am being over drugged". I immediately called the tech. Tech Bria is Awesome, she relayed the message quickly, the doctor arrived, asked my mother where was she, my mother took a while before stating, "I'm in a facility". The nurse then stated he had to look over her medications and provide something else. This experience has me on the edge with my mothers life in the hands of this hospital. Ps. Let me also say this, as a frontline healthcare entity myself, I completely understand the stressors healthcare workers face everyday. The stressors of long hours, being understaffed, being understaffed with lazy on the shift staff, over flow work load, more than enough paper work, your own personal issues, etc. However, even with all those stressors at play, it is wise to take a moment, breath, gather one's self, head back in and put the patients needs first.
Extremely rude and unempathetic administrative staff. The nurses, however, were very kind; which is the only good thing that can be said for this facility. For a job surrounding people and their health, empathy has got to be one of the top priorities; but unfortunately, every person that I interacted with on a “higher-up” level regarding my partner’s care, had absolutely no bedside manner. Additionally, the lack of communication in the hospital- and how they inform the family- has upset me to the fullest extent of the word.
Imaging is the biggest joke in this hospital, multiple times I’ve had to come with my Mom and something’s always down or wrong, or double booked. Can’t get out of there now without staying at minimum 4 hours and that’s before they even take her! Do better MUSC imaging
I came to visit my best friend this place looks bad, I have been to a MUSC HEALTH before. They haven’t did anything to this hospital since they took over it this hospital looks like this is where you sent someone to die please please upgraded and make it look presentable and welcoming. this hospital even have mole in the shower alone the edges This is ridiculous. I wish I would’ve sent a picture of the mole. Wait I think I have one.
Bad experience no customer service upon entrance. Staff is very rude and short with you as if you want to be sick. The front desk staff was never available to the next patient waiting in the lobby the disappear they act as if they don’t want the at work . They just want to play on there phones on social media instead of taking care of the patients.
A few months ago, I had a heart cath performed and the entire team was amazing. While in recovery, I was cared for by Malaysia Sweat, RN. Not only was she mindful, professional, and knowledgeable about the procedure and the recovery process, she was an excellent teacher/preceptor to the nurse that she was training. Malaysia, RN went over and beyond for my family and me. Hopefully, I will never need a heart cath again, but if I do, I hope she’s my recovery nurse again!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
