List of Palmetto Primary Care Physicians's Reviews
A very good experience - All the staff members were friendly, professional and welcoming... Labs in-house for convenience... Highly Recommend
Fantastic practice. Lauren Carsten is extremely knowledgeable, attentive, focused, and personable. I play tennis and I have run the gamut of sports injuries and Lauren has always been able to help. The whole staff is friendly and courteous.
Dr Elizabeth Lebel is a WONDERFUL Doctor...Has Provided EXCELLENT HEALTHCARE!!!
My primary doctors Gajewski and Brown were amazing... when they left the practice went down hill. I stayed on for personal reasons but have been extremely disappointed in my new doctor. I was treated with more respect at doctors care.
I love this office! Had to drive from Charleston to Columbia to bring my Auntie for her appointment and they were so professional and also prompt! We did not spend that long there at all. They made her feel like they really cared! Job well done to the staff! Thank you so much!
The nurses and staff are friendly and polite. When the stay-at-home order came into place, this office started adding an office visit fee to my monthly injection charges. (I had been getting my monthly injections for over a year.) I explained to the corporate billing department that I was being charged for a service I neither requested nor received, and that I had told three different people at this office I did not want an office visit. Corporate said: only the specific/local office can make that decision. The office manager at this office said to ask my insurance provider why my monthly injection was not covered by the office visit fee, perhaps there's a code that needs to be entered because the injection ought to be covered by the office visit fee. My insurance provider said (not surprisingly): Nope. I found out through my FNP (who acts as my primary physician) that the office visit fee was added because it was she who was now administering the injections instead of a different nurse. I asked the office manager to waive the office visit fee because it was a service I had neither requested nor received. She said that was corporate's responsibility. The office manager then told me I should have been charged a nurse's fee for all those times I had my monthly injections. I feel cheated and lied to. And I've been waiting three weeks for the referral department to call about a procedure my FNP wants me to have.
Love the providers here. They show great attention & care.
I have always been treated with respect from everyone. Dr. Brown and Dr. Hycke are awesome!!
This is where I went and just left: 2550 Elms Center Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406. I was involved in a car accident with my niece yesterday. We were there 2 hours for them to tell me that they could not treat us. They took vital signs, then had the doctor eventually come in. She said it was her “recommendation” to go to the ER. We asked for medication to help with the pain and also asked for a letter stating her “recommendation.” I asked why she couldn’t see me and she simply said they didn’t have the imaging I would need. No questions asked by the Doc beforehand! No medication prescribed, no letter, they didn’t even want to give me a summary of my visit! Just to show that I was there! This not only was disappointing and disheartening, but we wasted so much time and in pain!!! I do not recommend this place! No care in the world...
Beware re: the Antibody Testing! The practice will tell you it is covered by insurance and then bill your insurance for $200 for the telehealth appointment that they require before you can have blood drawn. My telehealth appointment lasted no more than 2 minutes, during which the NP asked me my address and where I worked, and whether I was exposed or sick in the last 2 weeks. That insurance bill now means I owe $50, and the NP didn’t even ask me all of the questions reportedly required! Again, when I called and asked specifically about whether the testing was covered, this charge was never mentioned, and it is not listed on their website. That is unethical. Would not recommend an establishment with these sorts of practices, and would not recommend doing the Antibody testing through them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
