Thank you very much for your attention when I had my emergency I am pregnant and I felt very safe the staff was very friendly
I had a good experience with the doctors, but when I required an emergency cesarean I learned that they outsource billing for anesthesiology to a billing company. So if you incur a balance with anesthesiology it does not show up in MyChart, although the myChart billing page says "Prisma Health contracts with outside groups to provide services such as radiology, pathology and anesthesia. Bills for those services can be accessed here." Additionally, I did not receive a bill until two years after my procedure... but of course they sent it to collections quite quickly after that. When I tried to call anesthesiology to have this resolved, the number menu did not work - just kept looping. When I finally got through to someone the reception on their end was garbled and they hung up on me. Working with the billing company was better, but it's frustrating the way Prisma specifically allowed this to unfold, especially because it was an administrative error on their part that prevented my secondary insurance from paying the bill anyway.
Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville,Tn. was great, then Prisma took over. Same great doctors and staff, but the business/billing is horrible. Can’t talk to a person. My chart has problems. Referred to an 844 number. Good luck with that.. Now I can’t even have a prescription renewed by my pharmacy. Have to use Mychart. Guess what. It doesn’t work. Back to square 1.
A Letter of Gratitude to Prisma Health - Tuomey Hospital, Sumter, SC. Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital #prismahealth ————————————————————— It wasn’t the Christmas weekend we’d planned for, but my mom, Mildred White, was taken to the ER, admitted, and then remained under hospital care for 19 days. She even spent her 82nd birthday 🎉 surrounded by her family and her caring care team. It’s not often that hospitals get positive reviews and feedback, and some good deeds go unnoticed and unspoken. What I want everyone to know is that EVERY SINGLE person that had contact with my mom and my family was met with kindness, concern, patience, and respect. I like to call these, “God winks”. It’s important to understand that during these 19 days (December 27-January 14) we had contact with many staff and team members covering all shifts, positions, and floors. We were privvy to hallway conversations , break discussions, and more. Being in the hospital isn’t always a pleasant experience, and the wrong person could make the experience worse. On behalf of my mother and my family, we want to personally THANK YOU for your hard work. Unfortunately, I do not remember the names of every staff person, but if you look up her name, you will remember the sweet lady who tried to convince you to let her go home everyday! 😩 She was the lady who encouraged you, wished you a “good night” at the end of your shift, prayed sweet words over you, fussed at you for waking her up every hour, reminded you that the food needed more seasoning (lol), asked about your family, and told you how much she appreciated your help. To the following departments: ‼️ Emergency Room Team: You were our first contact and team introduced to us. You took her back right away and began her care. I can’t remember our nurse’s name but she’s expecting a baby (Kaitlyn?). She was so good to my mom that we were looking for her after shift change. Our only issue was that she left before we could say goodbye! 👋🏾 Thank you! 🙏🏾 🤒 ICU: Anytime you hear these words, it’s critical and serious. Everything happened so fast that it was hard to keep up. But we remember the doctor and her nurse (I wish I took better notes of names), but you know who you are! My only recommendation is that you add some good cream for the coffee and Splenda in the ICU waiting room ☕️ 🛌 Transport Team: (the men with the red shirts)- thank you for your patience, treating my mother with kindness, and loved getting to know you. You were engaging and caring. 2nd floor Unit- you were the next step out of ICU. All I can say is that her nurse Brad (?) received high compliments from my mother 🤣🤣. He was so kind and reassuring. She also told you to tell your wife how handsome you are! 😜 3rd floor Unit- here’s where she spent the most time. Your team was very patient with calls and explanations, shift changes, catering to patient care needs- to include getting to know your travel nurses. Med techs were kind and attentive. You also made her 82nd birthday 🎉 special. THANK YOU!! Sweet nurse Dale, I think you stole my mother’s heart—-she loved to hear you say,“hey baby, how are you doing!?” (Pictured below) 🏥 Physicians- we’re thankful for your knowledge, attention to detail, and for being patient and thorough: Drs. Bullard, Moore, Zeleke, Pinto, Pathak, Stroebel, and Kalassian 🚨Radiology Team- to the CAT/MRI/Ultrasound techs and nurses thank you for making her scary experiences smooth and reassuring. I especially appreciate the nurses who helped while she was waiting. 🥘 Dining Food order and delivery- every staff member that brought her food spoke to my mom by name, asked how she was doing, and told her about the meal. Although the food wasn’t her favorite due to medications and tastebuds, she still thanked you for your service. The order takers on the phone were also kind and patient. 🧹 Housekeeping : another team of thoughtful and attentive staff that spoke to my mom by name, asked how she was feeling, and extremely supportive with her needs. “Is there anything else you need?”— THIS makes a difference. Thank you. 📞 Customer Service Call Team: I was accustomed to being at the hospital each morning for rounds, but on the mornings I wasn’t, I called to check on my mom through her nurse. No matter what time I called the hospital, I was always greeted with a warm welcome on the phone, personal conversation and assurance. The call center is doing a great job at making you feel personally connected. 🧁 Baker’s Sweets staff: you were literally the added sweet personable touch to our whole experience. Your team, sweets, and coffee are top notch. The perfect experience for long days and nights spent in the hospital. (Btw- they have 4 delicious locations and ship!)🍪 Baker's Sweets Bakery & Cafe - Sumter 🎁 Gift Shop staff- thank you for your customer and holiday 70% off sale. My perfect retail therapy distraction! 😋 Cafeteria staff - I loved the Smash burger special, tuna wrap, a space to unwind, and nice staff. 👮🏾♀️ Security Entrance Team: you are the first impression of the hospital experience. Your kindness and professionalism meant a lot. It’s especially nice when they remember your face and ask about your loved one. Thank you. Sorry, that my bionic knees set off your alarm 💊 Speech Therapist (Rebecca)- thank you for teaching my mom how to swallow her pills with confidence! You will be her she-ro forever. She’s been telling everyone about her new trick! 💪🏾 Occupational Therapist - you gave my mom so much confidence when you told her that her skills were beyond your need. Yay! 🏃🏾♀️ Physical Therapist- thank you for strengthening my mom so much that she no longer needed to go to acute rehab! ✍🏾 Case Worker (Savannah): your patience, knowledge, and perseverance goes without notice. Thank for working with us on recommendations and aftercare. —————————————————————— As a brand strategist, it is important to understand how your brand impacts others. Keep doing great things, even on your hard days. People are depending on you 🙌🏾 #YouAreTheBrand ✅ God is good. ✅ God is faithful & trustworthy. ✅ He wants what’s best for us. Sincerely, Kiera DesChamps & Family
I had an absolutely awful experience with Prisma Health Orthopedic, specifically because of an employee named Violet. We were simply trying to get my nephew’s medication after he broke his arm — a situation that is already stressful enough for any family. Instead of showing even basic compassion or professionalism, Violet was extremely rude, dismissive, and cold throughout the entire interaction. Her attitude was so unnecessary and harsh that she made my sister cry, adding emotional distress to an already overwhelming situation. No parent or family member should be treated that way when dealing with an injured child. Healthcare workers don’t have to be cheerful all the time, but basic respect and empathy are non-negotiable, especially in orthopedic care involving injured children. Violet’s behavior was completely unacceptable and reflects very poorly on this office. Someone who treats patients and families this way should not be working in healthcare, and at the very least needs serious retraining — if not termination. I would strongly reconsider coming here unless Prisma Health addresses this issue.
I called to get appointment as new patient to my partner the representative cut off the phone once she said hond on a second later on ended up I called them back never answered
Prisma health dentistry should be shut down. I have peridontals dease and had to have all my top teeth extracted. The dentist who did the job was doing his resendencty. I was told he could have them out in 10 minutes. No it was 2 hours and he had to use a bone saw to remove them and my top gun is butcherd. The Dentist Nicole who is charge is a terrible doctor who is not about the patient well being. I called hours after the butcher job done to me asking for pain meds. First she came off ike I was a bother because she was walking her dog. She also said do you have a problem with pills? I didn't say anything as I was insulted by her calling me a junkie.
Prisma Toumey in Sumpter, SC caused my brother’s death. Botched hernia repair surgery, perforated bowel that took them 48 hrs to repair allowing Septic shock.
Dr Saclise is amazing!!! Great bedside manner really cares about his patients. I definitely recommend him everytime!
I haven’t even had my appt and I’m leaving a good review for Susan. She is so sweet and has a warm spirit to her. She made sure I knew all of my options and made me feel good about who I decided to go with. 10/10

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
