List of Smythe Rich's Reviews
Dr. Rich ignored my interests and would only talk about botox. After finally giving in to trying a single vial, there was no noticeable difference. Now, months later I have much more puffiness in upper lids where he placed injections. Very disappointed in his treatment.
I seriously can't get over just how great of a job Dr. Rich did! The moment I walked into his office we hit it off!! He was not only able to answer all my questions (and I had many of them) but also told me things about my nose I didn't even know. He was more than fair on the price which is what made getting this procedure done possible. I had a pretty bad Deviated septum, from the outside you couldn't really tell unless you were looking for it. But from the inside it was pretty bad, I'll make sure to post some pictures. Anyways the day of the surgery I was still a bit nervous but even the outpatient staff praised him which tells you a lot about the surgeon. A few days after the procedure, when the blood and swelling cleared somewhat. I was able to see the results.... He is nothing short of an artist! Both my nostrils are perfectly symmetrical and go ahead and guess which one was deviated!! Yeah, he's that good!! He even picked up my tip a bit which was nice and added more support in t

He even picked up my tip a bit which was nice and added more support in the back as it was needed. I can't praise him enough people! If you need a nose job or any kind of work that he does be rest assured he's the real deal. I'll even go as far as to say I doubt you'll find anyone better!
Dr. Rich is a sweetheart, nothing against him or his office.I had 3 -4 rounds of Sculptra last year and drive over from Huntersville, NC to get the treatments because I heard he was the best. However, I have several modules and lumps underneath my skin as a result of Sculptra. This was unexpected... needless to say, I'm not thrilled with the results and the cost . The lumps are very noticeable and distort the shape of my face. Just warning, be careful about Sculptra!!!!
I took my daughter to see Dr Rich for a second opinion/consultation for a deviated septum. Not only did he insult other physicians, by name, in the first 3 minutes of the appointment - he told my 17 year old who has med school aspirations that a woman can't be "a good neurosurgeon and a good mother". He also aggressively criticized the fact that's she plays club soccer because he feels travel sports take away from family time - nobody asked your opinion Dr Butthead! I've never had such a condescending physical encounter in my life. I wouldn't let him work on my dog with that attitude.
Dr Rich is a very talented and committed physician who cares deeply about his profession and his patients. He performed a neck lift for me with flawless precision. I had complications and that is when he proved what an dedicated physician he is. The issue of fluid build up had nothing to do with his procedure, but just a possibility that was clearly explained prior to surgery. Dr Rich saw me every day until the issue was resolved; even coming in on a Saturday because he wanted to stay of top of the situation. He is a wonderful person and an excellent physician. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Rich So extremely dissatisfied. After months of researching plastic surgeons, my husband and I chose Dr. Rich... We made an appointment with him, with expressed intent to receive a face lift. Well, apparently he is focusing more on injections now rather than surgeries, because at our appointment he insisted that i receive injections rather than a lift. I did agree to the injections, because I fully trusted Dr. Rich. Afterwards, though, the effect was not at all what I was expecting. In fact, there was no visible difference. I sent him a letter, outlying my concerns, but in his response, he only addressed the privacy issue, not the overcharge, nor did he address the fact that we see no visible changes from the injections. In his response letter, he even mocked me for mixing up his name "Dr. Rich" versus "Dr. Smythe". I went to him wanting surgery, which I explained in the letter, yet he only responded with suggesting more costly injections, and he ended the letter with a sentence that makes me feel like he would rather I just go my own way. I was especially sad because i had imagined that Dr. Rich and I would have a lifelong medical relationship. At the appointment, I had asked for explicit privacy, though his secretary was quite obviously put out by my request. She even added my name to an email list for injection companies. I am actually convinced that his secretary wrote the abrupt response letter. Very very disappointing... PS: I know that I am a good candidate for facial plastic surgery, as I am forty-something and in my life, I have lost much weight, so I have extra skin that could be tightened. Doing the practice that Dr. Rich himself had instructed patients to do, with my head upside-down, it is apparent that extra skin weights down my face. Injections will not fix this. My face needs surgery in order to fix this. Besides that, after researching, I discovered that it is best to begin plastic surgery in our younger years, not to wait until we are older, when skin gets weaker. I pray to find the right plastic surgeon that will work with me to age more gracefully.

I love Dr Rich and DeDe! Everytime I go to the office I am treated like a priority. They offer so many services but treat me with what I need rather than trying to up sell or push extra services. They are the only people I would trust to do any type of facial procedure! Highly recommend for anyone desiring a superior service with great results!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
