Amazing! What a wonderful Emergency Physician! She has amazing bedside manner and is quick, efficient and thorough. I saw her at Waccamaw hospital a few months ago and we were instantly put at ease. I highly recommend her!

I saw this doctor when I was transported via EMS to the Waccamaw ED after having a syncope related seizure at work. She was argumentative and extremely rude, she lied on the visit summary report about our encounter. Thankfully I work for an attorney and we will be filing complaints and possibly suing for malpractice. I have witnesses as to how untruthful her report is of my visit. She does not need to be practicing medicine, especially in an emergency department where care, compassion and LISTENING to your patient goes a long way.

My autistic son was in a motorcycle accident 7/14/2022 and saw Dr Amanda Battista at Waccamaw Hospital ER. I was 500 miles away so I spoken with her on the phone. (I am a certified trauma ER RN). I requested a head CT d/t the mechanism of the injury and she agreed and hung up, or so she thought. I could still hear her and she was mocking me and laughing at me with other staff saying “who does that woman think she is telling me what to order? Nurses can’t order CT’s”, etc….. I told her I could still hear her and she hung up on me mid sentence, no apology, just hung up! I would NEVER recommend this woman to anyone for any reason.

If only Dr. B. had her own practice outside of the Emergency Dept. We can use more doctors like her in our area. Great knowledge, bedside manner. Takes the time to listen and cares about people.

Took the time to listen to me. Very caring and compassionate. I could tell she was very busy and had a large workload but she didn't feel rushed and took as much time as I needed. Excelletn all around. I wish every doctor could be like her!

Symptoms were dismissed. She acted as though her diagnosis was mae before she saw me. Used information from Emergency Room patient file to make judgement without all of the facts. Explained the purpose of an emergency room and what they can treat. Encouraged me to stop using an important medication my specialist had prescribed and told me take one that gave me more of the symptoms she suspected me of having. Saw my PCP next day and she refuted the diagnosis. My PCP listened to my symptoms and did not make a quick judgement. CT Scan showed aspiration pneumonia. If I had followed the advice of this Doctor, I could have ended up in serious trouble. I spent an entire evening feeling like a dumb hypochondriac. I'm glad to know everyone isn't looking for a quick answer.

dr treated patient with disrespect because in ER with no ability to pay. Ignored questions and walked away while patient was trying to ask a question. went in on call room and did not come out until patient was discharged.
