Update to my previous review of Dr Hayek. Well as luck would have it I had an appointment scheduled for May. Last Wednesday I received a call from his office stating that the Dr will not be in the office on the day of my appointment. They reschedled me for June 22nd. One week late I receive a call from his office, yes you guessed it they have to cancel the rescheduled appointment cause the Dr won't be in. Isn't it time they find a Dr whose going to show up

I don’t think people understand how doctors work. They don’t schedule appointments they have people who do it for them so it’s not their fault if it gets canceled or delayed. Overall great experience!

I first saw DR Hayek in Oct 2021 everything was good except the 1 1/2 wait until I was seen. He gave me a referral to a DME for my CPAP supplies. My next appointment was set up for April 2022. In April I receive a call that the Dr would be unavailable for 2 months and I was rescheduled for July. A couple days before my appointment I received a call to verify it. The caller stated my appointment was for 1 PM I had 9 A.M. on my calendar as I never make appointments for that time of day. I rescheduled for Sept at 4 PM three week prior I receive a call that the DR will be unavailable again for my Sept appointment. They now wanted to reschedule for December when I protested over prior cancellations they said I could speak to their manager. I'm still waiting for that call back from the manager. I'm so fed up with the entire medical community here in Myrtle Beach area the care is substandard at best. It no wonder why South Carolina is rated number 45 out of 50 for medical care

If you suspect any type of central sleep apnea or anything besides obstructive apnea them avoid dr.hayak.i had a sleep study and only slept 45 minutes. Well they lied and said I slept over 3 hours otherwise insurance doesn't pay. I had 4 Central apnea and bunch of hypopneas with 0 obstructive apnea . He diagnosed me with obstructive so he could get money from selling a CPAP. Central sleep apnea or any other sleep disorder is beyond his education. He would dry hump a CPAP if given enough lube. I suffered for over a year because of the lies and obvious wrong diagnosis. BEWARE
