I have been dealing with several health issues and unfortunately a lot of doctor’s with a wide range of specialties and I have felt more like a number than a person. I hadn’t felt heard by any of them and I was frustrated and angry with the lack of empathy I was shown. My wife became sick with pneumonia and went to Doctors Care because it was open after 5:00pm and was treated by an amazing group of doctors and staff. I was shocked that she had found such a great group and by complete accident. Driving home from work I became sick and my wife convinced me to stop and see the doctor but my primary care doctor was closing and wouldn’t see me and I stopped in at Doctors Care. I was in and out in under an hour and given a referral to see Dr.Rebecca Barksdale. I went to my first appointment and called my wife immediately after because I was so impressed with how I was treated. I don’t know if I can express just how great it is to have a doctor hear you and want to help you feel better. I would recommend Powdersville Family and that I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Great Job!!! :)

Love the doc but the lab they use is so hasty to send me to collections while I was paying on my remaining balance ...paid now but still in collections and not even been 3 months ugh

Dr. Barksdale is an excellent, kind, and knowledgeable doctor! I have been seeing her for over a year and she has helped me so much. She takes the time to listen and understand. I just can't say enough good things about her!

She founded a program to offer free mammograms, i was homeless at the time. Although she saw me briefly she was kind and non-judgemental.

Dr. Barksdale is a compassionate, caring physician who took time to know me and to talk to me. She also listened to what I had to say. I would recommend her to my family and friends.

when I decided to make an apt I went into the office and the receptionist/nurse was unproffesional.The person that referred me recommended that I keep the appt and meet the doctor.I was very reluctant,however I did. I was a new patient and I had an apt for 12pm and got to the back around 1:15.The nurse up front was making personal phone calls about someone going to the fish market for her and then another conversation about someone making hats. She was also clear with some other patient that she "does not mess' with the other nurse. The nurse nicknamed Lil Bit was very nice however her dress attire was a little on the worn side(dingy). I finally met the doctor and she is fantabulous! I say all of that to say sometimes people who represent us are not always good representation and could possibly give us a bad name. If you schedule with Dr.Barksdale please look over the people that work there. Oh and a lady that does the insurance was rude. She frequently came out into the lobby and did not say hello,excuse me(after stepping over waiting patients),or anything. The staff must be family members or people she was simply trying to give a chance!
