David Jenkinson's Online Review Report Card

I was seen by this doctor on 12-4-2017 at he medical center in Swansea, SC. I was there for a itching, stinging spreading rash, and asked the nurse to do a Urinalysis due to strong smell in urine. After waiting at least 45 mins. in the exam room, he came in and stated my urinalysis test was normal, and that he would refer me to a family doctor. I said, "What about my hands ?" He glanced at my hands , did not ask if I had used any new products or had I tried treating the rash in any way.. he gave no explanation as to a possible cause for the rash. He said he would call in some steroids, this was a topical cortisone cream. He spent no more than 3 mins with me. Upon leaving the visit I obtained the nurses's notes and his notes as well as a copy of the results of the urine test. The lab results showed abnormal ! Urine showed Nitrite POSITIVE (A) normal results listed was -Negative. Urine bacteria 4+. I researched the results which showed a Urinary Tract Infection. Remember he told me my results were normal ! He was rude, dismissive and obviously did not read my reason for the visit which was the rash. I had to tell him as he was leaving the exam room, about my hands. His documentation regarding the rash was also incorrect, as to the when the rash started, as well as past treatments include nothing. The treatment provided no relief. His Review of symptoms were also incorrect , did not do a review of systems, yet he documented answers,all negative. I will never see this doctor again !!! Also his specialty is Sports Medicine. My personal review is below poor ! He is not a competent physician !

Dr. Jenkinson is an awesome physician! He has the perfect bedside manner! He took care of my husband in the Urgent Care after we went to another Urgent Care. He took his time to explain everything in a manner that we could understand. He and the staff were very professional and accommodating! I just wished that he was in Family Practice because my entire family would have him as a PCP!

My son was seen in his office for a ankle fracture. Dr Jenkinson and his staff were terrific!

I found Dr Jenkinson to be very kind, very thorough, and very accurate in his diagnosis. He picked up the real issue with my knee pain when the other 2 docs had missed it. He took the time to explain my options and answer my questions. He gets an A+ from me!

BEWARE. Misdiagnosised my injury, orders unnecessary test. Needs to work on his bedside manners as he has NONE. I have sense spoken to other people that have seen this physician and had the same experience.

I would not recommend this doctor. He is VERY arrogant and likes to act like he is very knowledgeable but has been wrong more than right in my case. ...
