List of Alan Block's Reviews
Dr Block has done a total of 4 foot surgeries on my left foot. Dr Block has been rude and unperfessional, rude, and did not explain what was needed done before surgery. After my 3rd foot surgery my first post op was aweful. He yelled at me with door open for all patients and staff to hear. This last post op he was rude, and I had to ask him after rude comments to me of what exactly did he do. He also acted like I wasn't in need of pain medicine after all the work he done this time on top of last 3. I want to address this to owner but unsure of how. I will not be back to him for post op appointments until I heal. He is RUDE and more interested in young medical assistant and show off god like complex.
In 2016, I had “foot reconstruction” surgery by Dr. Block to fix a bunion. Now, almost three years later, my foot is still swollen and red, and I am in pain most of the time, with a huge bump on the arch that wasn’t there before. The risks were never explained to me. My quality of life since the surgery has deteriorated because I can no longer do the things I love, such as hiking. When I went back to the doctor to see if he could help, he was dismissive and arrogant with no concern whatsoever. He basically told me there is nothing he can do to fix the problem the surgery caused. On my last visit he spent more time joking with the nurses out in the hall than he did trying to help me. His office staff is rude & unhelpful. Having this surgery and using Dr. Block was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. My recommendation is to not use this doctor.
I needed ankle surgery to move my heel to the center after a fall. My assumption was moderate surgery with recovery. He did not advise me that I would be in a walking cast for 6 months, a horrible wound that needed daily in-home Nursing wound care. Patient/Doctor communication was sorely lax. The nursing staff was exceptional in communicating with patients.

He was very helpful and I was very pleased with his services
I don't recommend Dr Block, he is more concerned with himself then his patients, I came to him for ingrown toe nail 8 months ago and I'm still numb!
Neuritis - who new what that was? Well now I do because of the Doctor's explanation. So pleased with this office and staff and care! The shots I get in my feet are great and the Doctor administers them with great care!
Disregard patient's and family concerns, with lack of professionalism on how to treat non-healing wounds. Spent more time talking with staff than the actual patient. To save life and limb do not go to this physician.
Took time to answer my questions. Excellent overall experience
Amazing overall experience, took time to answer my questions.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
