List of Andrew Rhea's Reviews
I can't comprehend the negative comments. I was forced to use this doctor by worker's comp for C6/7 ACDF. After reading the reviews I was mortified. However, this was hands down the best experience I could have wished for. I had my C5/6 done previously by another doctor, and I had a longer recovery, I was in pain for over a week, and my tongue was swollen for several days. But with Dr Rhea, I did not have any of these issues. I felt great the moment I woke up, minus the obvious soreness from the surgical site. I hope that I never have to have my spine operated on again. But if I do, I hope it can be done with Dr Rhea. Please do not allow the negative reviews to scare you away. Before the surgery, Dr Rhea sat with me and walked me through every detail of what was going to happen. I had several questions and he answered every single one. He is very nice, cordial, and respectful.
Had surgery on my back 9/7/22 I was okay for a short period of time. After checking my MRI results against what Dr Rhea's surgery records show he did L3&l4 when my MRI shows L4& L5. I have been in pain ever since. A friend of mine had him and his results were good but not for me. He didn't do right by me. I'm retired and I don't want to spend my time in a chai.
Condescending and rude.
Had recent surgery at McLeod. Dr Rhea performed surgery, all went well. He was very pleasant . Wade was excellent, was very good with keeping us informed during the hospital stay. Followup appts. we're prompt and timely. I would recommend.
Doctor Rhea saw my husband when he was in the hospital for neuropathic pain relates to stenosis and spondylosis, and peripheral neuropathy. Told him then he needed to follow up in his office for outpatient tests to determine extent of nerve damage. It's even in his discharge paperwork to follow up with this doctor. Today was that follow up. Doctor was condescending, told us he couldn't do anything in his office; and that we had to see a different doctor to get the testing done. He treated us like we were dumb. It took us an hour and a half, $90, and a missed time from work just to be talked down to and get told he couldn't do anything for my husband. Complete waste of time and money.
This man is arrogant and needs to retire. He does not care about his patients and talks down to his patients as well as his staff. My husband needed his help and he said he couldn’t do anything and before even trying. If you’re looking for a good neurosurgeon please go to someone that has compassion. He’s so arrogant!!!
Poor service
If there was a 0 star option I would put that. This man is so arrogant and acts like you are just wasting his time. Tells you there is nothing he can do and refers you to someone else. Seems to be a trend with him. I have never in my life seen a physician treat a patient this way. Very unprofessional. I think it’s time for him to retire...
Dr Rhea spent time with my hus band and I answered our questions offerred referral very caring and professional with us told us our options did an excellent job with brain biopsy no side effects was upfront with us from beginning I highly reccommend him
Have recommend others to Dr. Rhea. Dr. Rhea is a lot better then most Doctors I seen. And cant say enough good things about his assistant Dr .Rowell Wade excellent nurse practitioner.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
