Margaret H. Hoffmeyer's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Margaret Hoffmeyer is an absolute wonder! If I could leave 10 stars on this review I would do it in a heartbeat. There is no physician in, near, or surrounding Florence even slightly comparable to her. I have now been seeing Dr. Hoffmeyer monthly since May of 2020. She has been more than a blessing to my life and helping me with the medical needs that I have. I even have family that is now seeing her. Her staff is extremely professional, always kind, and cosistently willing to help me whenever I need assitance. Her front desk receptionist and multiple on staff nurses are courteous and knowledgeable. It is always a pleasure to visit her office, with the constant knowledge that safety is of the utmost importance to her during these times. Dr. Hoffmeyer is dedicated, fair, and extremely intelligent in her field. Her experience as a PCP and a Hospital Doctor are practically unmatched! I have lived in Florence, S.C. for 4 years now and I have previously seen physicians at two different HopeHealth locations, McLeod facilities, and various other M.D.'s throughout the area. From the very first appointment and each thereafter I have felt comfortable talking with Dr. Hoffmeyer on a professional and personal level. Even when you don't have health insurance Dr. Hoffmeyer is afforable to visit regularly, and her schedule most of the time allows you to be able to see her within a month if you are a first time patient. I would never suggest seeing another PCP other than her, and if you get the opportunity to begin treatment with her you will understand everything I have described here and more! Thank you so much for everything that you do Dr. Hoffmeyer! This patient right here is beyond grateful and appreciative for all of your hard work and knowledge!

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!

Charged for services not performed at time of first visit. Only wrote maintenance prescriptions for short period of time, despite being told we would be out of state for 5 months. Insisted we had to come back in before she would authorize any refills....just saw her in Feb. 2019 - a little over 4 months ago. Was told by office staff that this was the policy and if I had acted responsibly I would have made sure I had all my pills prior to being out of state. Not sure how she expected me to do that as insurance dictates when you can get a refill. We will not be returning to her practice.

Makes her patient what to long. I waited 3 hours on her one day. Then when she comes in she's rude. Then told me a torn rotator cuff wasn't a big deal. And that was only my 2nd visit . Well I'm hear to tell you it is a big deal

Office is nasty. There's a stinky old dog that roams around, poops and throws up wherever. That's probably what keeps the patients sick...

Dr, Hoffmeyer takes the time to determine what the problem is. She,genuinely, cares about her patients.

Dr Hoffeyer is kind and thorough. If you need a specialist, she will refer you to one..She takes the time necessary to discuss your problem. If you are hospitalized she follows up there and works long long hours.

Dr Hoffmeyer has consistently kept me waiting for extended periods despite my having an appointment. The last time I went, I was one of two patients who finally left. Prior to that appointment, she was clipped and rude to me while under care in the hospital. I am leaving her practice. Also, I am appalled that she keeps a dog in her office; it roams around including in the examination rooms.

Dr. Hoffmeyer is a very caring doctor. She Takes her time with you. Will refer you if you need It. She is not pushy but will tell you what you need To have done. The wait is a little long because She gives all her patients time. Worth the wait. Thank you Dr. Hoffmeyer.

Dr.Hoffmeyer is an AMAZING, if she can't figure a health problem or illness she will referr you to another doctor. The office staff is amazing as well. If you are truely sick they will try to work you in to see Dr.Hoffmeyer although you may have to wait.
