Mahir Shah's Online Review Report Card

I thought everything was going well, but don’t ask questions about the practice that you see on public records. Your prices go up and they add charges to your bill.

I was so happy when started seeing my doctor. He literally changed my life. Have no idea how I would be today if I’d not contacted him years ago. He cares for each and every one of his clients making sure their lives are moving the right direction. He’s never rushed through any of my visits and takes time with me making sure I am mentally at a good place

I have had only negative experiences with psychiatrists in the past. I always feel like they are approaching me with a judgmental, almost call center style approach, and not really listening. I have always felt smarter than my psychiatrist, and probably am, honestly. This is not the case with Dr. Shah. He is always genuinely concerned with my well being, and What is going on with my life in a way a friend would. I’m not sure where I would be without him. He is also intelligent, inside and outside of text book intellect. My hat is off to the most human, most caring, and most professional psychiatrist in the area.

Dr. Shah is absolutely amazing. After only a few months, I am feeling better than I have in 2 years. He TRULY cares so much for his patients. My son is a new patient as well, and we have seen some great improvement so far. I was so scared to go to a new Psych because of horrible past experiences. However, Dr. Shah immediately put me at ease. He asks important questions, is very genuine, takes the time to get to know you as a person, and most importantly LISTENS to your concerns and/or suggestions if they are appropriate. I am SO THANKFUL that I listened to the ovbiously very happy patients on his google reviews. This was definintely the right choice for us. Lindsey in the front office is always incredibly helpful and organized as well. If I need to make an adjustment to an appointment, she will get me in asap. She is excellent with correspondence and follow up as well. This is the best decision I could have made for myself and my son, and our well being and mental health.

Not good.

I experienced Dr. Shah as professional, extremely caring and concerned for my well being. He knows a lot about the medications I am on and how they interact with my other medical issues such as history of PEs. Would recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about this doctor he is very caring and compassionate truly listens.. helped my son and I tremendously through a very hard time.. what he did and open my eyes helped fix the problem in our family... our life has been so much better.. I am so thankful for him.. however, I have not been able to see him due to not having insurance for a while just got my insurance back through my husbands new job.. received a letter my son and I have been dismissed from the practice.. ?? due to him being over booked or something. I shouldn’t be writing a review so no one else finds him and i can get in to see him..

Finally got me in a place where I can pay attention and make the most out of everyday. Still having some sleeping issues, but it is manageable because the fact I am doing so well in the daytime and socially. Don't like the new office locations as it is not as quiet and organized. He is still attentive and friendly and truly seems to care and worry about my well-being.

This was my first time to see this provider after my NP left to stay home with her little boy. Dr. Shah was most kind and took his time with me. I never felt rushed and he seemed truly interested in my recovery from depression.

I like to think of myself as a somewhat successful individual, despite the challenges I face with my mental health. I attribute much of that success to maintaining stability. Dr. Shah has been incredibly instrumental in maintaining that stability. When I first saw Dr. Shah, I was experiencing a mixed episode, and I thought I was facing an impending hospitalization. Dr. Shah's compassion, care, intervention, and expertise prevented my return to an inpatient facility. I am forever grateful!
