First Light began helping my mother around June of 2015 and their Caregivers helpedmy mom until she passed in October 2020. Mymom lived in an Independent Living Senior Residence and was able to take care of everything herself for 10 years. When she started having some trouble getting dressed and up to breakfast on time, First Light Caregivers started coming to help with that. Through the next 5 years, the caregivers did more and more things to help my mom keepher independence and not have to move to Assisted Living. Besides helping my mom, First Light helped me as primary caregiver by making me feel confident that my mom’s needs were being taken care of whether I was there or not. The caregivers were so kind and helpful to my mom. She called the caregivers”Her Girls”. She loved them and it didn’t take long to see that they loved my mom as a person and not just a client.My mom ended up having the same caregivers the last few years and they truly became family to my mom and our whole family. There are not enough words to list all the things the caregivers did for my mom( and in turn, for me) for the last 5 years of her life. First Light was with my mom , even after Hospice had to be called in. My mom had dementia for her last few years and may have forgotten the names of some of her caregivers, but I could always see the recognition and trust in her eyes when she saw them. Their love and support was amazing and so appreciated.. My mom’slongest caregiver drove almost 200 miles to our hometown to attend my mom’s funeral. I was surprised to see her there at first, but in my heart I knew she would be with my mom until the very end. I ( and my whole family) have so much love and gratitude for First Light and my mom’s caregivers. They truly were a Godsendto us all, but especially to my mom. They were the best for us in every way.

The place is a rip off, they charge for a week service in advance plus the twenty hours service they did provide. I canceled the service when they could not find anyone over the holidays. As for the advance payment which they immediately charged my charge card, I am waiting almost a month for them to credit my account back the $784.00. Next stop I will be taking is the refer this situation to my attorney.

I was very pleased with First Light's initial evaluation. The staff is genuinely caring and made my parent and I feel comfortable with the process. The caregivers are well trained in dealing with the elderly, always on time and dependable. They showed love and compassion, and I would highly recommend their services.

I take back what I said about FLHC, they have been good to me, and I appreciate their hard work!

Have had FirstLight Home Care in my mothers home for about a year now and I couldn't have made a better choice. All the caregivers have come in prepared and ready to go. The office staff has had such good communication with me and my siblings about any sudden changes with our mothers care. Jenny has also made several visits just to check up on her. There is little communication between them and their employees. They dont try to fit their clients with the right caregiver they just find someone to work. I stated beforehand that I hadn't done certain things. They didnt even try to train me. First light home care of spartanburg is alot better

Contracted to take blood sugars 3 times per day and they have goneup to 3 days in a row without showing up at all. Patient lives alone and family count on  the services they pay for being done.

In April 2014 it became evident that my aging parents were going to need assistance if they were going to be able to remain in their home. I reached out to Jim at FirstLight to discuss our situation. Within a couple of days Jim and Jenny were meeting with my parents and me to ascertain their needs and develop a care plan. I have been very pleased with the caregivers that they have provided. The caregivers showed a great deal of care and attention to my mother as she progressed through the stages of dementia. For over two years they provided great care through the time my mother passed. Since then FirstLight has continued to provide caregiver services to my dad. They are truly involved with the patient with follow up in home visits by management and provided updates to me and to my siblings. Thank you Jim, Jenny and staff for the care given to my parents, and for helping us navigate a difficult situation. I am very happy to provide a 5 star rating and highly recommend the services of FirstLight Home Care of Greenville.
