Great customer service. Patient is the focus. Doctor is very knowledgeable and great bedside manner
He is an amazing doctor! Takes the time to sit and talk to you and makes sure you understand the medical terms. Highly recommend! Great personality!
I was referred to Dr Kumar by my primary doctor and I can’t thank him enough. Dr Kumar was wonderful. He understood what I have been going through for 20 years and offered some answers. I felt that he really cares about his patients and I am happy to be one.
I have been coming to Piedmont Arthritis for over 17 years and I LOVE each and every member of this team. The reception staff have always been kind and professional. Dr. Kumar is AMAZING and his nurse Deana has always treated me like I was the most special patient. (I’m sure she treats everyone like this 😊) I was very nervous when I had to start doing infusions last year but Violet has been with me since day one snd I have not experienced any problems. On the rare occasions that I’ve had to utilize the patient portal, I have always received a prompt response. I would not trade this team for anything in this world!!!
Received excellent care from Dr. Johnson for 30 years. Dr. Kumar essentially took me off all meds as I have degenerative disk disease and osteoarthritis. He said Celebrex or Tylenol. Counseling, cognitive behavior therapy, Thai chi, yoga, or water aerobics could treat my disease. If I was a millionaire and had all day for treatments every day, maybe so. In my opinion, he was suggesting Dr. Johnson was guilty of malpractice. Our tax money probably paid for his education and practice and he provides no medical services except for RA. Rate him a big fat zero! All treatments he recommended I have tried. All payment out of pocket. No insurance!!!!!
He’s helped me in my journey with rheumatoid arthritis. He listens to all my concerns, and I think we may have finally found a treatment that works. I’ve referred him to a few friends who also like him.
I went here after being tested positive for RA and inflammation from my primary doc and dr Kumar and his nurse dena were so nice and caring. I felt at home being there and he explained what ra is and the options to help with the pain. He immediately told me to get X-rays done and offered some medication to help with the pain- (hospital grade anti inflammatory medication) he was super thorough. Very sweet staff even the X-ray tech was very sweet and caring and I drive an hour to see them. Well worth the drive to see people who treat you like you matter. A million stars
I tried to get an appointment with this office for a second opinion. I had my primary physician send a referral and after a week I called to check the progress. I was told they needed more info from my primary doctor. Since she is not my current RA doctor I called them and had those records sent - twice. I called for an update once a week for a month. The last time I called I was told the same thing - that they were waiting for additional records from my primary doctor. The last time I heard that excuse I explained why I needed a second opinion and asked to speak to the nurse that handles referrals. The person that I was speaking with said "I can't do anything for you" and hung up on me. SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!!! I'm sure the doctors in this practice are good doctors however, they really should monitor the customer service - or lack of- that patients are having to deal with. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Kumar to me and after hearing what I went through she left his practice.. By the way I still have not heard from them and its been 2 months. I had to give them 1 star or this would not have been posted.
Exceptionally kind and smart. He sees me as a complete patient. Is care has improved my life.
I am new to Greenville and am still in mourning over the friend and Rheumatologist I have had for 10 years. My family laughs at me that “I need a friendly, trusting relationship with my care givers”. Dr. Kumar was recommended by Dr. Vaz, whom I immediately liked! I am big on reviews. The moment that actually cinched the deal was when I walked in for the first time. Someone else manned the patient notes. Dr. Kumar came over and sat right in front of me. I felt I had his undivided attention, both during the exam, and his treatment recommendations. A smile and eye contact offer confidence in my book. He seems sincerely interested in suggesting a plan for my constant pain. I have had a lot of health issues since arriving in SC. Dr. Kumar listened to my recent traumas, and continues, every three months to test, and tweak the protocol. He is knowledgeable, creative and dedicated to his patients. Thank you, Dr. Kumar for helping to improve my quality of life!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
