Went for a vasectomy reversal which was a complete failure. They are cheap for a reason. Do not waste your time. Go to UNC and ask for Dr. Coward.
I was thinking my experience would be a good one but it was not. Set of the appointment months a head of time and towards the end of the day so that it would be in and out like I was told. That was not the case. Checked in before the actual appointment, arrived before the time of the appointment and found that the waiting room was full. Called a hour and half earlier to make sure everything was still good. I watched patient after patient be called back as I waited. Where their appointments before mine...I am sure they were but when you see some come in the door and straight back. I started to question what's going on especially after the second patient goes back. 1 hour and 15 mins of waiting for a 20 minute procedure I decided I wanted my money back since I can not get my time. I am sure this was the first time the lady at the window had this happen and I am sure it took her off guard. She elects to tell me that there were some emergencies that came into the office. I understand emergencies but I also understand communication. You could informed the waiting patients of the unexpected and the office is running behind. It seems dr offices forget some of us do not have to use them and we have choices. This will never be a choice of my family going forward. The lady at the window was able to give me my money back for the procedure as she was trying to convince me that I was next even though the guy that came in 40 mins after I did just was called back. What I get called back in a few mins then wait another 30 mins for the dr to finish with all the others that were in front of me. No thanks not today. I had my annual urology visit today and everything went very, very well. The receptionist was helpful, the attending nurse was thorough and friendly, and Dr. Vaught was professional, caring and superlative. I feel that Dr. Vaught does an excellent job and would highly recommend him.
My first meeting with Dr. Vaught was a very pleasant experience. He answered all of my questions and examined me to see if there might be any complications. I am 61 years old and I had a vasectomy back in December of 1996, and as such I was concerned as to whether or not the reversal would work for me. I was awake during the entire procedure and it was painless. I was also able to talk to Dr. Vaught during the procedure. The reversal was done on 9/10/2020. Today is 12/18/2020 and my wife is 5 weeks pregnant, so my wife conceived two months after the surgery. Thank You Dr. Vaught and your staff. Just a heads up to warn people about a Doctor in town. I had a biopsy on a spot in my throat that Dr Vaughan did. He then talked me into doing a deviated septum surgery while I was gonna be under anyway. That surgery got botched and was the worst experience of my life. I have never had a problem with sinus infections until after surgery....now I get them every month. Been through 5 rounds of antibiotics in the last 6 months and still having problems. His exact words were “you are wearing me out”. He told me to just do daily saline rinses for the rest of my life and I should be ok. REALLY? He has not even done any scans to see what’s going on. He just gives me antibiotics and sends me packing. This man should not be in practice. Awful bedside manner too. Make sure you check reviews before you do something like this.
he messed up my vasectomy reversal. I went to vasectomy dr in hilton head and got an ultra sound 1 yr after the surgery because I was having testicular pains and I was told whoever (dr vault) did my vascetomy reversal caused a blockage n erupted a blood vessel. My advice is if you was planning to go to him don't. This is truly a you get what you pay for situation! He was cheaper then the dr in Hilton Head but now I got to pay the dr in Hilton Head to fix the issue!!
I have seen Dr. Vaught twice and during my first visit I was very impressed with his method of treatment unlike any other urologist. I was more than pleased with his mannerism and the way he explained everything. I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Vaughn made my visit for a painful sinus issue enjoyable. His solutions healed me up quickly. I was grateful for a follow-up visit and a plan for treating the issue if it ever returned.
He cut blood vessel during a vasectomy reversal...now i have low testosterone...hes old and blind..
I saw Dr Vaught for 5 years and thought he was great until he left and I had an incident where I passed blood and went to the ER at Carolinas where it was discovered that instead of the 2 little kidney stones he had been telling me I had for 5 years, I had between 9-10 some other 1.5 centimeter but the worst was that I had a cancer on my bladder that would not show on the KUBs he had been orderding. I have my records now from that time and while I was complaining of pain he didn't order the right test.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
