List of Carrie Hall's Reviews
I would give her 6 stars if possile. Tremendous personality. In my profession I talk to Dr's all day, and she is the ultimate professional. Very thorough, misses nothing. Explains everything in layman's terms. I have been to 5 Derm's in my lifetime and she is the paragon of what a Dermatologist should be.
Went to hospital cause water broke. Was said to be dialated at 4cm. She made decision to induce me with pitocin...all day. Saw her once for initial check and again late evening. Both for very short time. She left me being induced with pitocin. I was told by nurses she went home. First time she checked dilation I was 8 and second time she said 7 and said could feel some cervix second time. By end of night I was in so much pain and couldn't get anymore epidural. I had to tell I can't do this any longer get her to hospital and I need csection. She seemed irritated that she had to come. And said csection is not the end all. Was not a good experience.
I was very discouraged with May River Dermatology yesterday as someone in the MRD Bluffton office had decided to cancel my appointment (made by my Primary Care Doctor) with Dr Hall since I had seen a PA back in June at the Bluffton MRD office. So yesterday, after considerable frustration, I went on "Health Grades" and gave a low rating as the May River Dermatology. The office staff kept saying (not the ladies at HH) said that I had cancelled today's appointment which wasn't true. Finally I was able to get a manager involved who was able to figure out what had happened and consequently re-established my appointment with Dr. Hall. I saw her today and she is a great doctor, perhaps one of the best dermatologist that I've ever met and I'm not a young guy. So all is well and now I'm reposting positive comments on Health Grades.
I had my annual Dermatology exam yesterday. This was my first time seeing Dr. Hall. The exam was very thorough and was accomplished in a very professional manner. She explained all results of the exam and has a wonderful sense of humor. I look forward to my next appointment!
She is warm, friendly, and personable. She is also a consummate professional who misses nothing. She is very thorough which is what I value in any medical provider. She is also almost always on time which is very unusual today in the practice of medicine. I recommend her without hesitation. Of all of the dermatologists I have used over my lifetime, she is clearly at the head of the pack. Definitely a 5 star Dr.
Suggested unnecessary surgery for a small basal cell, when I asked repeatly to try a non invasive cream, she screamed at me and walked out. Most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen.
The best. Exudes competence. Great personality and “bedside” manner. Would recommend her heartily.
Though she’s on time for appointments she does not listen nor does she seem to actually prepare for her patients. After multiple times seeing her she still did not recognize me nor did she remember anything about me such as what issues I had been having. She did not ask if I had any questions or concerns, being a first time mom I would like to have a doctor who I feel comfortable with and someone who appears to care for me and my child. I would not recommend her. She may be intelligent, but she has no people skills at all.
I made a huge mistake choosing Dr. Hall 2 years ago when I was pregnant with my son. Completely rude, had no interest in me as a patient. During my delivery she was so awful and talked down to the nurses. I was actually embarrassed for them. Almost missed the birth of my baby because she didn’t want to be there!
I had to wait 2 months to get an appt. then they kept changing it. I am having bleeding for a while and I should have a doctor who actually cares!!! Stay away from her!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
