List of Katherine Coley's Reviews
I wish I had read the reviews of Dr. Coley before choosing her as my doctor. My experience was the same as others posting their treatment as a patient. Dr. Coley was very nice during my visit. My problem was that she never called with the results of cultures she submitted for diagnostic testing. After repeated calls by me for follow up treatment I NEVER received a call back. There were no suggestions of further treatment, no calls to the pharmacy, nothing. After a week of no responses I contacted my internal medicine physician who responded immediately. I will hopefully find another gynecologist who is more attentive to her patient's needs.
I started with dr Coley 2 years ago when I first came to SC. Although she has good dr/patient bedside manner I find she’s never available unless you have an appointment to see her even for a phone call. The office takes the information but there is never a response! Whether for prescriptions or medical advice I’m left in limbo. Very disappointing.
You wouldn’t listen to me whenever I told you something was wrong. Went to the er where Dr Coley was on call they preform a test that showed I was in labor my cervix was dilated, heavily bleeding instead of sending me to MUSC you sent me home where I went into full blown labor because you wouldn’t listen you didn’t care. I was only 27 weeks pregnant. I was transported from coastal Carolina hospital in Hardeeville South Carolina to Savannah Georgia memorial hospital. Where I learned that my baby and myself could die! Thankfully for amazing team of doctors they were able to keep my baby in the womb for a week. I gave birth to my baby girl at 28 weeks. Thankfully there wasn’t any permanent psychical damage but emotionally you cause so much fear and pain.. all could have been prevented if you actually took care of my unborn baby and me. But no you didn’t you should not have your license you’re the reason why I am terrified of doctors and still go to therapy for it I hope you’re happy .
dr coley has always given excellent care. she listens and understands your concerns and addresses them with compassion. i cannot write enough wonderful things about her.
Suggest getting second opinion if she recommends surgery. Overcharges, sloppy record keeping. Seems nice enough.
Overcharges, sloppy record keeping, first line of defense is hysterectomy
Dr. Coley has been an amazing doctor over the past 4 years. She listens, respects my opinions and fears (which are always numerous!), and never makes me feel silly for asking a lot of questions. When I was pregnant with my last child and didn't want to be induced, she never made me feel pressured and I had the most beautiful birth experience with him. I also love all of the nurses and staff who always return calls, are quick with results, and are prompt and kind. :)
Rushed through appt.-interpersonal
I've been visiting numerous doctors for the better part of the year. Dr. Coley was a third opinion. She was the only doctor to do the necessary exam herself (instead of out-sourcing it and relying on someone else's evaluation of the images) so that she could evaluate the situation fully herself. Other doctors were advocating drastic surgery. Dr. Coley listened to my concerns, got to know me, and decided to do some further tests. Turns out, no surgery was necessary. Thank you, Dr. Coley!
The entire experience was 5 stars! Staff and Doctor are great - couldn't have asked for a bad situation to be made any better. I needed massive surgery and Dr. Coley explained the process, what I could expect before surgery, during recovery and was in my hospital room first thing the next morning to follow up. To say I am delighted - isn't enough!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
